Same issue, different model, a 3.2. Sprayed the MAF with cleaner and touch wood it’s not happened since.
Personally I wouldn’t. I’m not sure how it would effect the haldex. But in theory I think it should work.

Is rsne touchscreen? If not surely CarPlay won’t work at all it does is mirror the phone and requires a touch screen.

Open the tail gate. On the lower edge you will see two black grommets at each corner. Remove these and any excess water should drip out.
