The interior dimensions aren't a problem but I was just surprised how little the car has grown compared to the previous gen. The main issue for me has been boot space at times and currently it is almost big enough but an extra 20 or 30 litres would have been ideal, certainly not 30 litres less!
It feels a bit like when VW went from the mk5 to mk6 Golf GTi as more of a reskin/facelift than a whole new and improved car. I still want to wait and see one in the metal and drive and then decide if its a step forward or back.....
Hmmm just had a look at the online stuff and then compared it to my 2017 FL model. So about 1.5 inches longer and slightly less than an inch wider or higher. The boot appears to be smaller? It also appears to be fractionally slower. I will wait until I see one for real and get a chance to drive...
I read Autocar this morning and the story is just the same as given in this video. I am also surprised about the engine HP not being increased but maybe there is a surprise to come in Geneva at the launch? The Autocar article talks about a 5% improvement over the old car so it will be...
I'm sure they would be able to give you a lift to and from a railway station or similar so you can to and from work. Alternatively if you dont need any warranty work then use a good independent audi garage and use their wifi for your laptop while you wait ?
I would not have thought there is any difference between the PFL and FL B&O systems but you could look at the brochures and see what it says for power output and number of speakers. You could even contact B&O direct to ask. The B&O system is good for a car but I would not be sure it would be...
How is it that Seat are able to get factory approval for a 65 bhp engine tune from Abt on their new Leon Cupra R ST. https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/seat/leon/106297/seat-announces-365bhp-leon-cupra-r-st
Why does Audi UK not approve this for the S3 with the same engine??????
There really isn't much in terms of performance with the S3 8V FL and RS4 B7 until you are really shifting and then the S3 runs out of steam a bit in comparison. I think though if you got a stage 1 for the S3 and had an extra 60 or so bhp it would be slightly quicker than the RS across the...
Well a bit more since I took delivery of my S3 saloon. I have had several Audis in the past from A4 company diesels through an S3 Sportback (8P) and an RS4 saloon (B7). Each of them were good in their own way the A4s were great on a motorway cruise. The S3 sportback was good for family motoring...
Yeah there are 2 car wow videos. One is just a standing start race the other is more comprehensive and looks at a range of aspects including driveability That's the one I mean.
I think that with the standard seats on the Golf R combined with a manual box it gives the impression of being a better handling car than the S3. I don't think there is a whole lot in it and the S3 then beats the Golf R on any other measure. Oh and its not the badge that sold me it was the value...
It was a kind of limited test as a hot hatch should be able to do multiple things as well as go quickly and none of those factors were addressed. I would also wonder what kind of tyres the Renault and Honda were on and it they were track day focussed. Anyhow I would swap mine for either of those...
Well I finally tracked the creaking noise to my drivers side seat belt post. If I squeeze the latch which the belt clicks into while driving along the creaking stops. There seems to be some "give" in it which isn't present on the other seat belt post or other latches. My question is has anyone...
