Front end low after shocks replaced

When I got knocking over potholes it was the ball joints however it could be anything haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Front end low after shocks replaced

It usually does unless the rubber mounts are squashed, or you get smaller top mounts to get it lower haha, tbh mine aren’t flush and it’s not causing any issues. Quattro models have different rear suspension and I think the drop links hook up to the shock rather than the arm. Not sure if...

Front end low after shocks replaced

You can get shallower strut tops (that metal bit) I believe? Which would nip that down. Did you change the springs to lowering ones? What car is it S3 or A3? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Update So it’s had a good 200+ miles since bolting up, and I’d recommend this upgrade to anyone, the handling difference is incredible, I can’t say what has done what to be honest as it was all done together, but the 25mm roll bar with polybushes is keeping it flat on hard corners. I zigzagged...

    Rear ARB install A3

Think I’ll end up doing it, no real need immediately, It’s a PD130! Slowly working through mods, s2000 filter, backbox delete, just need a decat then onto remap! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rear ARB install A3

In your opinions, is it worth doing? I’ve got a TT front end setup with a nuespeed 25mm front bar and 40mm lowering springs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rear ARB install A3

Hey, What’s the best way to install a rear ARB on an A3 FWD? I’ve seen kits for rear beams where the bushes hook onto it and you get longer bolts so they link up with the rear shocks. Is there a fitting kit available from anyone that I can just fit a stock s3/TT rear bar to? Thanks, Dan...

I’m so excited to get it all fitted up, the track rod situation caught me off guard though! Had no idea they made a thicker one! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I’m going to have to buy new rods/ends now [emoji17] the ones on the a3 won’t fit as the thread is 14mm instead of the 16mm quickrack ones. TT spindles are sorted now, new hubs and bearings with the multipoint nut to match my driveshaft [emoji1303] Almost there! Here’s what the setup is...

So! Update/question, I also promise I’ll get some pictures of this all for people if they want so do something similar, ill also list out all bits and bobs I needed! Question relates the to track rods! From what I understood I could just use my A3’s bits and turn the track rod ends upside...

It’s definitely the right thing to do, couldn’t pass up a £300 arb for £10 though haha, so it’s slightly changed the direction of the build if I sell it I’ll probably make enough to buy another cheaper one that’s right for the setup but for the hassle of selling it etc I’d rather return the drop...

Thanks for that man, really informative, to be honest I never thought of a rear bar! Not sure if it’s possible to fit them on an a3 as it doesn’t have one as standard? The neuspeed bar is a 25mm which I’m going to mount on polybushes so it should be a fair bit stiffer to get rid of that...

Update* I’ve almost got everything I need now! However I picked up a neuspeed ARB for a fwd golf/A3. One of the ones that loops over the driveshaft so it doesnt rub when lowered. Got it for £10 [emoji23] couldn’t not buy it. ...however, because I’m now going to be using s3 shocks and...

Knock only when turning right. ESP

Oh! Gotcha, think I’ve heard it called the steering knuckle haha. I’m sure I’ve seen that on a post on here before something about track end taper being worn over time to the point we’re it just knocks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Knock only when turning right. ESP

Uprights? Guessing you mean shocks? Never heard that term before but it makes sense! And that’s exactly my thoughts, and I’m sort of torn, I don’t want to spend like £30-50 to get the tracking done to then get all this kit fitted and do it again. But at the same time, it’s also scary as ****...
