    Repairing / Replacing Interiour Trim

I remember sitting in an A4 at the Motorshow when the B6 was first displayed looking at all the marked plastic where jewelry and nails had damaged the surface, including the headrest buttons. I thought it was sh1t quality for Audi, but guess what..I still bought one. By the time I sold mine...

    Servicing Costs

I had mine serviced at Cardiff Audi 5 times and it has been around £300, or £400 if you have the break fluid changed.

A4 clutch biting point - high?

I risked it and went through a Rea good back street garage my father recomended in South Wales. They seemed very honest and did a good job. New clutch, sealing flange, inside and outside clean £500. £700+ for two main dealers here in the south. £500 pounds for Dialynx - That was just for...

A4 clutch biting point - high?

I just had my clutch replaced at just under 90k miles! The symptom was slip in 3rd upwards, especially under strain of accelleration on the motorway. Overtaking on country roads couldn't even be achieved. The reason was a broken sealing flange which apparently soaked the clutch in oil...

    200 bhp???

I am have never considered adjusting anything on mine, especially since I am looking to sell it some time next year. But if you want to check out somewhere else for prices, I take my car to Dialynx for most of its work. http://www.dialynx.co.uk/

    200 bhp???

The 1.8T is a lovely drive, when it is working fine. I have ploughed £'s after £'s into a stalling problem and have now decided to give up after replacing 3 airmass units, lambda probe, breather hose and thermostat switch.

    200 bhp???

Driven the 3.0 avant as well. Nice drive, but I think it's 250bhp...could be wrong. But having owned a 1.8T for five years, I wouldn't go for another one. There are so many diesels out there these days that have got just as good or better performance on the run, it's time to...

    200 bhp???

Would have to agree, but it does depend on your annual mileage and the type of drive you want from the car. I prefer the much longer stretches through the gears of the petrol which gives you the performance, rather than relying on higher torque. It provides smoother acceleration and is less...

    Cigarette lighter...priceless

Denim blue is an old colour. I think it is similar to Mauritius blue, except slightly lighter and metallic rather than pearl effect. I think it was fazed out after the B6's. Not sure about the cigarette lighter. Did a bit of poking around yesterday. Popped the gear stick housing and plate...

    1.8T stalling at low speeds

Enough is enough, I am not spending any more money on the car. Took it to an Audi Specialist last week to have the belt changed. Asked them to have a look at the stalling issue. Replaced the belt and a split breather hose £500. Thought perfect, that has got to be it, since it is a...

Glovebox damper & N/S/F door lock

Unfortunately I have missed the boat. Does anyone know of another breaker who is currently removing a boot lock from an A4? Preferbly around the London area or outskirts; better still west of London. :keule:

    1.8T stalling at low speeds

I am starting to get a bit fed up with hearing the same phrase everytime I visit the garage. 'It's a common VAG fault!' I am starting to wonder whether I should even consider buying another car from the VW family...Maybe a Ford will do; at least if it has the same faults, it will most probably...

    1.8T stalling at low speeds

Hmmm. Had the airmass unit replaced with a VAG unit last friday. The car ran sweet as a nut until this friday, then it stalled again! The original diagnostic check identified a low signal from the airmass unit and ABS! :haudrauf:
