Mines a 57 plate and it's the ******* version, I mean long version haha. Must say mind on the subject of our cheese eating surrender Monkeys, In the past I've had 2 saxos, one being a track car, and 2 phase 1 Clio sports and never gave me any trouble and easy enough to work on. This A5 I have on...
Kept bringing up the p2020 code with my foxwell Nt500. The pic is bank 2 inlet, loads of play on the flaps as well. Sorted it with a new kit off eBay, all cleaned out and cleared the code. What a f@#k on removing the manifolds tho!!
Fair enough m8. I think u can't really do bad with redstuff, that was nearly my choice. I can highly recommend the Ds2500 pads but they ain't cheap, if you want stopping power tho they were amazing on my previous cars.
I take it you are gunna be taking the car on track m8? It's just I've recently put the o e TRW pads in mine, all be it with the 345mm s5 discs, but still I've haven't had an issue with any fade on the road, and my car is not standard. I paid £55 for the pads from gsf car parts with the 35%...
I got bored so made a new induction setup. I know the standard air box is decent but I wanted a bigger filter with larger intake pipe work. I had a very similar setup on my focus st turbo and it worked very well.
What intercooler are you going for m8? I highly recommend the mishimoto J line, me and Karl (desert storm) have one fitted and it fits nicely not obstructing the radiator or crash bar. You handy with the spanners? Cos fitting the turbo and cooler is a piece of **** m8
I think the multitronic is 500Nm but I may be wrong. If this is true it won't handle the GTB2260VK turbo as I'm kicking out over 700Nm. I think you have 2 smaller intercoolers, one at either side, instead of one lower front mount like the 3ltr has, this could be more of a pain to sort the pipe...
My video is with a gutted dpf and straight through back boxes, so it will sound like that m8. On the move it's nice subtle v6 noise. The A5 has decent soundproofing inside, it's much louder if you hear it on full beans from the outside
It does happen m8, there is no service schedule for replacement but they are checked on service and changed if required. Mine has done 76k and the previous owners have both had belts on and I'm in the process of changing it again as its in poor condition.
There's no specified change interval on the 3.0 tdi, but it is part of the check on a service, so I would guess if it looks in poor condition it would be changed. I'm changing mine because it looks poor, it's started cracking, probably do the water pump whilst it's off
