Installed stoptech 328 4 pot caliper kit. Grooved discs, fast road pads.
Took forever and a few hairy moments driving the first 100 miles to bed in the pads but getting better, sensitive at slow speeds still not amazing at high speeds.....long term review to follow
As the title says.
I have 2.0 quattro tfsi or tsi anyway I have coil overs I want to change ARB and had mixed responses.
Some say do rear only. Go for a haldex tune. H&R do only a pair. Quattro cars have thicker front than rear.
Bit confused I would go for rear only but there must be a reason...
Hi wow can I just say that this is the most useful page for upgrading brakes I've come across.
I decided to go with a porsche 996 upgrade. Problem is my car is 2011 A3.
Obviously done some mods and now running about 280 bhp I want some advice. Realise this is in the 8L section so can someone...
Yea first time it wasn't
Second time I went for quite a long run revving a lot low gears kept the car running. Waited a bit before a re-run the results were better but still failing.
The tuners reckon maybe lumbar sensor is faulty.
Does anyone know if I could put a set of SQ5 brake calipers and discs on the A3 I've got 18 inch OZ Allegerita wheels.
Could also get hold of the hubs and carriers but not sure if they'd bolt on to mine.
Any pointers appreciated
Sounds like you've still got a few things to fix before the car fully up and running strong.
Get the little things fixed and then reflect on the driving experience. 260 BHP sounds about right to me. Have you changed your air intake ?
Also I got the OZ alloys second hand .Good deal about half the new price.
I was looking for light wheels and luckily a guy was selling a GTI Mk5 or 6 and no one wanted to pay for it so he put it back to standard. He was selling amazing AP brakes aswell but I didn't have the money .
I haven't installed the wishbone kit yet.
Next month it's going on. It has anti lift kit built in and it's aluminium so will lighten up front end making steering in quicker. Better bushings etc .
S3 is aluminium. Should I have bought an S3 probably but what the hell
Thanks for the info. I won't comment on the graph as I don't have much technical knowledge.
I will add that I changed my wheels for new Alloys and tyres the other day and wow what a difference!
I took off the S-line alloys and Bridgestone tyres - For OZ Allegerita 18" with Micheline Pilot...
Interesting I tuned my 2.0 tsi k03 Quattro. Upgraded intercooler and full Miltek exhaust.
I got 260 bhp without the DSG map. Tuner said I could get more out of it with the DSG mapped.
Be interested to see how this turns out.
