I know. I guess that's why nowdays engines have soft limiters in neutral and engine component protections that holds the power down before engine is up to 60-70 deg (if i got that right).
Back to the OT i guess it's right there at about 15-20km of drive in colder weather to get it to temperature...
Lower the oil temperature - lower the viscosity meaning more fluid particle friction. Oil paricles will move slower and the lubrication won't be as efficient as it would be on working temperatures.
But i doubt anyone is sitting on the rev limit all day long for this to cause premature component...
That's why i'm testing this material this way.
It wasn't post proceeded with high temp epoxy or anything else and it's 1.8 mm shell.
Want to see if constant temperature changes and weather changes will have negative impact on the part.
Hips doesn't have that high temperature resistance and it's...
ABS should work too as that part of the engine when inspected didn't reach more than 60°C.
But i can't stand the ABS fumes.
I used GreenTec Pro from Extrudr. About twice the price of ABS/ASA but much higher strenght, impact resistance and temperature resistance.
It's been a while.
Not much being done.
Anyway, coilpacks refreshed with new "R8" NGK (old ones were 11 years old).
Feels smoother but i guess it would feel smoother with new regular ones too.
Added a new airbox to the old itg maxogen cold air intake.
Had to replace the windscreen too.
Yes, if i remeber correctly. It's been for years on the car.
It gives a bit of vibration but it settles up a bit and you'll get used to it.
If i was fitting it again i would probably go for black series as this combined with engine mount inserts helps with gear changes on stage 2 and beyond...
I probably need velocity stack one too.
I'm running itg maxogen cai with revo filter without heat shield for ages.
I'm thinking of making custom airbox for the itg i'm using.
I love to mess around :whistle2:
As title says, is anyone running ramair pro ram air filter instead of foam filter on itg maxogen cai or revo cai. On a 2.0tfsi s3 with stage 2+ etc.?
Wondering what size is needed for our cars and stage 2+ tunes.
Seems that those might be better than foam ones.
EDIT: WELL I MANAGED...
Stuck blower will still let you change parameters on aircon but it won't blow any air inside. It might be connector/module. It could be airon controller unit.
Best would be to check it with vcds.
If you want to, it's quite easy to check if the blower is stuck, 6-7 7mm bolts (if i remember...
The things is that i get this sometimes but not on every bump.
The car is lowered on coilovers - kw v3.
The springs are compressed and coils are close to each other so when i hit the bump the coils touch and make the anoying sound. It's weird and it's only on the front right side.
Not sure why...
