    ABS/EPS ERROR

Damn right I’ve had a couple of those on my car for the past 5-6 years. As I said before it’s easier/cheaper to replace the bearing first Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Audi A3 ashtray delete/ambient lighting

It depends on what cc unit you have if it’s the later type without the section that sticks out I think you can get away with pulling it out and turning it. Though for the shake of a couple of screws to avoid damage I’d pull them out. Once it’s out though like it says above you just put the light...

    ABS/EPS ERROR

I’ve only just seen this and wow that’s a good job done on that one. Usually you see a couple of sections worn away. It’s a shame the ring itself isn’t replaceable really as the bearings probably fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Reverse lights not working

Too be fair you’ve disturbed them if the filament was gonna move it’s be then. At least it’s something simple Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Reverse lights not working

Double check you reverse light switch wiring but it’s probably just a blown bulb that’s got knocked when it’s been disturbed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    ABS/EPS ERROR

You’ll be fine with a bar mate personally I’ve always found it easier to use a metre long bar than a gun. Leverage is key [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    ABS/EPS ERROR

If I remember correctly it’s an M18 it’s not too bad really. As for the torque after you’ve clicked your 200nm scratch or draw a line on the bolt and turn it in stages until the lines moved 180 degrees. I had to do a bearing for a mate yesterday and for the angle it was much easier to stage it...

    ABS/EPS ERROR

Just confirm with measured value blocks but yeah definitely sounds like new bearing time. It’s an easy job to do to be fair. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    ABS/EPS ERROR

Yeah mate I did see that it’s horrible when that happens. Though you’re not gonna be able to knock it through without removing the bearing thinking about. Too be honest the bearings are cheap enough I’ve fitted quite a few £20-30 ones from eBay and the like and they’ve all been spot on. Though...

    ABS/EPS ERROR

Yeah that would probably work however you’ve got to keep the socket in place while you’re putting the angle on it’s a massive pain. I used to use a inch drive bar. But then I also had a ramp with makes life easier. I’ve done a few rear bearings since and never yet managed to get the full 180...

    ABS/EPS ERROR

Yeah that’s probably the only way you’ll get it out unfortunately I’ve only ever managed to get a couple out safely in 20 years in the trade. That’s another reason I do bearing first to be honest. Also yeah it’s 200Nm and then 180 degrees it’s almost impossible unless you’ve got a 2 metre bar...

    Coolant leak

Like Samisnake says it could be anywhere, but some more info is definitely required. Are you getting any puddles under the car? If so where? I recently had a puddle at the front right of the car which pointed me towards radiator. Then another at the back in the middle which pointed towards a...

What have you done to your A3 (8p) this week

I’m still on my original 2004 so one I can’t believe it’s still going. Too be fair it’ll probably fail tomorrow now [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Esp, traction light

Hi the wiring to the throttle pedal can get tight which is known to cause this. When I was in the trade we used to make up a new loom from the pedal to the engine ecu. But if you check to see if the wiring is tight or loose by the pedal that should be a good start. Sent from my iPhone using...

    ABS/EPS ERROR

I’d try the drivers side rear wheel bearing first. Odds are the abs ring is starting to corrode out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done to your A3 (8p) this week

After 201,000 the radiator decided enough was enough. Can’t blame it really I would have given out long before that haha. Though I’ve starting hearing the fatal turbo bearing whine so along with the clutch and flywheel I’ve got to do next week I’ll take a look at that too. I have noticed...

    Coolant leak

Too be honest Nigel I’m impressed that mine lasted 201,000 miles. I’ve done hundreds in my previous life. I might mount it in the garage haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Coolant leak

Looks like the radiator itself it’s weird I saw this post after ripping my own radiator out for the same reason. My drivers side decided to leak yesterday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    VCDS Fault Code Won't Clear

Usually this fault comes in when someone has used a cheap obd mileage correction tool. Not saying this is the case here but it’s the only time I’ve come across it personally. If your unsure you can read out the mileage of the engine ecu with Vcds, I think it’s in functions of something on the...

    Bonnet safety catch not opening!

Yes if you take a longish screw driver and crouch down so you can see the catch then using the screwdriver to push the catch manually it should open. Giving it a good spray and free it off should prevent it from happening again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
