I'm prepared for the running costs, don't buy a tiger if you can't afford to feed it! :icon_thumright:

    Bye Bye

It is a massive difference over the S3, the test drive was a real eye opener, nearly soiled my pants! :w00t: I think I'm gonna take it easy for a few days til I get used to it before I start getting giddy in it, I know a few of a few peeps that have stuck their new Evo in a ditch within...

    Bye Bye

Well its been a short affair, and to be fair I've not been the most active member on here but the time has come for me to say good-bye. I'd like to thank everyone thats helped me out over the past 2 years, and I hope I've helped a few of you out in that time aswell. I sold the S3 on Friday...

Selling the S3 - what next?

How about an Evo? 4 doors and big boot, you can nearly pass one off as practical! And they go like a ****** missile. Went out in a mates yesterday for the first time, 550bhp and I think he said about 540ft/lbs, it was unbelievable, I've never been in a car that can go round corners so quick in...

    Wing Mirrors Poll

Definately get the satin ones, they look great and really set the S3 apart from A3's. I want a set myself but my car is Rocketship Silver so I'm not sure its really worth the price of the geniune items, on any other colour though its a no brainer, do it :icon_thumright:

    TT gearknob!

In theory all you need is a tap & die set, a tap cuts a thread into a hole and a die cuts a thread onto a bar. To do this properly the bar will have to be the right diameter for the thread to be cut onto it. Where abouts are you? I've got a tool chest full of stuff like this from my toolmaking...

    TT gearknob!

You've answered your own question, if its threaded it screws on, shame A3/S3's have a different fitment! Is the thread small enough to be drilled out leaving you with a snug push fit? Sorry I can't help anymore but I never took mine off so I'm not exactly syre how it fits on a S3. As already...

    grey s3 wheels

I think it used to belong to a member on here, can't tell you who though? I know it was in the classifieds section a month or so ago with a £10,500 asking price, and I don't know who bought it either so I'm not a great deal of help really!

    How old are S3 owners?

bought my S3 at 27, now nearly 30, I'm a short ***** and weigh about 13 1/2 stone with a body fat percentage of 13%. And no I'm not vain and worry about my weight, the only reason I know is because I had a routine medical yesterday at work, honestly!. Fortunately my job can very physical at...

    grey s3 wheels

Are you thinking of something like this beauty? Bear in mind that these are 18" S4 alloys as opposed to the 17" versions on the S3

max size spacers on the rear??????????

I wouldn't entertain the 25mm spacers unless your going for the monster truck look! A few people run 20mm on the back and claim to have no problems. I've thought about it myself but tend to drive my car pretty hard and can't be ***** with any rubbing issues so went for 15mm a side just to fill...

max size spacers on the rear??????????

I've got no evidence what so ever to base his on but if you've got 18 x 8 alloys on it, don't go lower than the 25mm and don't drive it too hard I reckon you could get away with 20mm spacers on the back. I know alot of people will disagree but hey! Do you really need 15mm on the front...

Thinkin of selling my s3 whats it worth ???

I'd agree with the 9k figure to a certain extent. I was thinking of selling mine a bit back, a year older but with less miles, full audi service history, cam belt, water pump and tensioners, All the options, blah, blah, blah. I was going to put it up at 9.5k but decided I would have taken 8.5k...

    Hand car wash

Some great points on here but we're getting away from a quick wash and into a full detail, we'll be starting on paint correction techniques next! ADP's mini guide is excellent, this basically sums up what I do to my car. I do mine at work, where I can spend hours on it in a heated floro lit...

S3 Insurance who are you with ?

Yes mate, declared absolutely everything because you never know when you're gonna need the cover and it gives them one less reason to try a squirm out of paying out. It really suprised me, I know a few people that have gone to Tesco for a quote and as soon as they mentioned remaps and stuff it...

S3 Insurance who are you with ?

Blackpool FY6 post code, 29 years old, 3 years no claims, no convictions, parked on private driveway, all mods declared. £530 fully comp with Tesco. They beat my renewal quote from my previous insure by about £350!!! I'm happy with that for now but it all starts again in November so I'll see...
