    Goodbye All! Car is Gone!

That varies by the type of property and neighborhood you are looking. Although $650k to $750k is a good figure for an approx 700 Sq Ft 1 bedroom in a doorman building, or you could buy an entire house that's like 4 times the size across the Brooklyn Bridge with an extra 20 mins commute!

    Goodbye All! Car is Gone!

It did take a little bit of time getting used to! But not all that bad, watching out for other drivers and crazy pedestrians are the main thing out here. Thanks! Moving out here has opened up a lot of opportunity, no way would I have been able to afford one of these back in the UK. Coming here...

    Goodbye All! Car is Gone!

Hey all! I am back! Been out here for almost 2 years and finally got myself back into another Audi! Had a look at a few options like the BMW 335i, Lexus IS350, Infiniti G37/FX35. But then I walked into an Audi dealership for a Q5 and ermmmmm...... walked out with one of these...

    Goodbye All! Car is Gone!

Time had come to sell my car as I'm moving to New York! Was out there for a couple of months this year to see what it was like and I have decided to move there. My ownership experience hasn't been great but has been awesome, so thank you everyone for your help and advice! Would love to get back...

    Corroded/Damaged Rear Suspension Bump Stops

I'm guessing no one has had this problem! Anyways, could some one take a pic of their rear bump stops for me, just for comparison! Also bump stops aren't an MOT failure item right? Thanks!

    fan problem

Very common problem, happened to me just before christmas, drained my battery and had to get it towed in the morning. Costed me somewhere between £300 to £350 for a new unit including installation.

    Corroded/Damaged Rear Suspension Bump Stops

Both the bump stops on the back of the car are damaged with 1 actually loose, it makes a rattley sound when I go over any bumps! So it's rather irritating! My question is, how much are the bump stops to replace? Part + fitting. Thanks!

Engine Fan Drained My Battery :(

Update: Finally got my car fixed! Went to IVC in Leeds and they did the work for £450 inc recovery. They replaced the cooling fan and that was it, no new battery required or any wiring repairs. Turned out a connector got wet and rusted!

    Charging a Dead Battery

Yeah, I want to try it, just in case Audi are trying to rip me off with a battery that I don't need. Just worried if I stop, I'll be stranded lol.

    Charging a Dead Battery

Would it be OK to have a car jumped start and drive around about an hour to charge the battery with the alternator? Read some stories that doing this could damage the battery as the alternator doesn't provide enough power to charge it up from being dead or something.

The A3 is going! & Bluefin query

I see, sounds pretty good! I did test drive an S about a month ago, but it was the worst test drive I've ever had as it was proper chucking it down with heavy traffic! Would you say the ride comfort is better in the S or JCW??? I suppose the JCW gives better results after it's been remapped...

The A3 is going! & Bluefin query

Nice! I've been looking at Cooper S's and JCW's myself and thinking of maybe getting one as my next car. Did you test drive an S as well, was there a noticeable difference? Would ask you what the running costs are like but guess it's too early.

Engine Fan Drained My Battery :(

Thank you! I never really paid much attention to the Sales of Goods Act. I did have a problem when I first bought the car and have had several problems after. Thinking back, I really should've just rejected it. I have sent an email to Audi about my ownership experience the other day, waiting...

Engine Fan Drained My Battery :(

Rang around a few places and all of them said they'll ring me back after they get some prices. But only one place rang me back! It's going to be hard for them to quote me for the wiring repair as they need to see it first.

Engine Fan Drained My Battery :(

Update: Rang the parts department at Leeds Audi and they quoted me £201.96+VAT for an engine coolant fan and £99.85+VAT for a new battery. As the rest is reparing the wiring and installing the new parts, it seems a bit steep! I have also emailed Audi UK about this coolant fan issue, so...

Engine Fan Drained My Battery :(

Audi has had my car for a couple of days now. They have quoted me £940 for the repair! What needs doing is: 1: New engine coolant fan. 2: Wiring repair. 3. New battery. Or £751 without the battery. After having the car only 2 and a half years and bought through their Audi Approved Used...
