    Thanks. Also, the WD40 did the trick. I was able to push both buttons out after about a minute of spraying them. I cannot believe I wasted two days trying to pull them out with the hooks! Hopefully someone else finds this thread helpful.

I can even push them from behind after removing the central air vent and the panels under the steering whell and they kind of move but don't pop out. I cannot believe how hard they are to try and pull out. I'm now starting to damage the dash...

    thanks again. I'll have another go today. I also have VCP but need to try and get the zdc file as it doesn't appear in my available downloads. Did you need to pay for the "access all VCD options" to get it? I've just paid for access to all the zdc files but still only have about 30 available.
