Just thought I would add some additional information around the need to replace the voltage regulator in the alternator (or complete alternator - replacement with updated Voltage Regulator) and the J644 Battery Monitoring control unit with a new battery monitor cable J367 (in my case for a Q7...
Hey Ajax,
In relation to the CAN gateways, do you know what the limitations of using the 26-pin vs 20 pin for the 3G+ are?
The reason I ask is that I have the 26-pin HW:4L0 907 468 C SW: 4L0 910 468 A - flashed to 0071 with a 3G+ head unit and everything works great EXCEPT access to the...
Do you mean when using the high beam flasher the high beam stays on? If so, didn't someone mention that a facelift turn stalk/indictator is required to make it behave as normal?
I've just figured out the wiring for the FL LED headlights (for a Q7 anyway). When flashing J519 to software N (from K) or replacing with a FL module, the drivers in the module change function/pins. So in my instance, T32b/3 and T32b/14 change from the turn indicators in the side external...
@B5NUT, do your LED lights dim when your main xenon head lights come on? On another site, I have seen the coding stated as "0023121" if the convenience module 09 is replaced with an FL version but to use 0015121 if using adapters/resistors.
I've upgraded my convenience model but can only get...
Also, I think from my testing with 26pin CAN gateway, you can get most things controlled by the MMI but not all. I'll post my final configuration when I install ACC,.
Hey,
What lights did you go from? Halogen to bi-xenon with LEDs? Reason I ask is that I retrofitted in my 07 Q7 but used the VNSMedia Xenon to BiXenon kit with the Kufatec Halgen to Xenon wiring harness. I have replaced my central electrics module with the facelift version and really want to...
Thanks. I'll give that a go. As I bought the MMI3G+ already setup for Googlemaps. TMC etc... hence Carson must have been applied.
Also, as I've cleared the service interval then this may be why it isn't showing up so I'll set it to something and see if it pops up.
My CAN gateway (26 pin) is...
Just wondering whether someone might be able to help me with the final coding of my MMI3G+ unit. The only outstanding issues I have are some of the menu options under “car” are greyed out and used to work with my MMI2G high. Just wondering whether anyone who has done the MMI3GP upgrade has seen...
Hi there,
A 26 Pin CAN gateway flashed to version SW0071 will definitely work with MMI3G+ as this is what I have in my 07 Q7 and everything is "almost" working perfectly. Means you don't have to worry about the battery regulator circuit (but teh battery level in the MMI 3G doesn't work). I have...
All good. Sent an email to VCP and they added access to all downloads (over 200). They have two versions. One for A6 (4F0910279GtoN.cry) and one for Q7 (4F0910279K_H15_S0240.cry). I don't know what the difference is as both cars use exactly the same BCM but I believe all Q7s came with version...
Thanks.
Also, the WD40 did the trick. I was able to push both buttons out after about a minute of spraying them. I cannot believe I wasted two days trying to pull them out with the hooks! Hopefully someone else finds this thread helpful.
BTW, I still can't get the buttons out of the dash. I can even push them from behind after removing the central air vent and the panels under the steering whell and they kind of move but don't pop out. I cannot believe how hard they are to try and pull out. I'm now starting to damage the dash...
thanks again. I'll have another go today. I also have VCP but need to try and get the zdc file as it doesn't appear in my available downloads. Did you need to pay for the "access all VCD options" to get it? I've just paid for access to all the zdc files but still only have about 30 available.
thanks. Do I specifically need the Audi tool or can I use any standard "hook" tool? I tried again today and without having done this before it felt like the dash trim was going to break! I actually have the new dash trim for the 7" MMI3GP screen and can see how the buttons lock in but cannot...
great thread!
Just a quick question, I'm trying to remove the buttons from the dash panel and am finding them very hard to remove. Is there a trick? Do you definitely require the Audi tools ie T3438 & T40207? Are there any hidden latches the the Audi hook tools loosen or do you just need to use...
