Red Low Oil Pressure warning. 2.0TFSI

garage have done a 1st inspection & were semi optimistic a new engine isnt required - but more work next week to tell me exactly what needs doing & price it. they said it started, didnt have a low oil pressure problem & the horrendous diesel sound is the slack cam chain I am looking at Cam...

    Stage 1 Remap Question TFSI

my car is currently in the garage getting cam belt, water pump, new cam chain etc etc. Looking at Revo Stage 1 £415 or Celtic Tuning £325. There is supposed 10bhp difference & same lb/ft - so basically the same. Has anyone experience of either of these? thanks

Red Low Oil Pressure warning. 2.0TFSI

Thanks. Rac towed it to the garage I am using (I don't usually use them except I know they can do this better than the usual indy I go to). Garage rang me up & said they'd received my car & it started & they moved it into a parking space & it didn't sound too bad - until I pointed out it was...

    B7 possible quattro conversion

This is true. I'm now considering replacing my seized engine in my 2.0tfsi quattro - which also isn't economically viable

Red Low Oil Pressure warning. 2.0TFSI

can i ask (in a completly naive way) - what else could go wrong? other than 'the engine' what else could i have knackered? thanks

    B7 possible quattro conversion

As above - it's my car. Quattro s-line. Currently worth little more than scrap to me (or leather interior + alloys). If you need parts for quattro it could be good for you..

Red Low Oil Pressure warning. 2.0TFSI

Thats pretty much what I think. & thats uneconomical to repair imo

Does the 2.0tfsi suffer from oil pump issues?

Either my oil pump failed or oil pick up pipe blocked in my car (2.0tfsi) on Tuesday & needs a new engine now..

Red Low Oil Pressure warning. 2.0TFSI

In the 479th mile of a 480 mile journey the red low oil pressure light came on. i lifted off & free wheeled in neutral & the light went off, I put it in gear again & it came back on & when i put it in neutral it didnt go off again. I pulled over to the side of the road & listened & it sounded...

Eml light but no fault code

I do agree with the above. So I went to drive my car to the garage today having not used it since Sunday. & the eml light went off after starting as it should & hasn't been seen since...

Eml light but no fault code

I've got a generic £10 vag code reader that can clear codes & I'm concerned that this isnt anything different really. For example vcds will clear my wife's airbag light off but it comes back on 3 months or so later, whereas my generic scanner won't. & my eml light doesn't pull up a code on...

Eml light but no fault code

I'm getting it scanned at local indie tomorrow. But looks like i should invest in 1 of these. As my Audi & Mrs vw would be covered by it https://www.mi-uk.com/product-category/diagnostics/ross-tech/?gclid=CjwKCAiA8K7uBRBBEiwACOm4d-gFhjwdUFVecHeC4LMGAVZb93dU3xAOxtKE6QxxlPZWMhzjePrRAhoCOToQAvD_BwE

Eml light but no fault code

I had both at the same time / start up. Bulb warning on dis/ dash & eml is lit - so will get it scanned. I've got a £10 code reader that says no codes

Eml light but no fault code

I'm hoping it's a brake light bulb could trigger this, as the brake light is working but the side light for it isn't

Eml light but no fault code

As title. The lights come on but when I scan it there are no fault codes. I had a dash message about a bulb just before - but I've had the same message numerous times before without triggering the eml. Any ideas? (Could oil level trigger this?) Thanks

Timing belt on an 07 plate 2.0 tfsi

So the above isn't a front cam belt quote, but a vvt chain, & vanos unit.. hence why a tad more

Timing belt on an 07 plate 2.0 tfsi

I am bumping this as 1 of the plastic guides has gone on mine & a local indy (which i respect) has quoted me £1400+vat for cam belt replacement (& fix oil leak at same time at back of engine) - I'm getting a breakdown of costs for the 2 different things.. Sounds extortionate!!
