I was in a shopping center cark park today and basically after circling the parking lot for about 20 mins or so behind ofther traffic, car started to act up ECP light came on and then there was a loss of power when trying to accelerate, car eventually cut out. Dash lit up light a christmas...
right with you, no it accelerates fine as in when goes through the rev range there is no loss of power. I would say the only time there is and very occasionally is from a stand start there is no immediate power delivery.
unfortunately do not know the exact model, any way for me to find out?
Have a '97 1.8 Auto, the gear change on the gearbox is not smooth at all, there are moments where it feels like the gears are "clunking" in to place. Usually happens between 2nd and 3rd and depending on the speed 3rd and 4th.
Sometimes when driving and applying a bit more speed to the pedal...
oil pressure lamp came on the other day, showing "min" on the dash, have filled up the oil in the car to the max level, but the light has not gone off? does it need to be reset or should it automatically realise?
had my air con compressor replaced a couple months back and now have noticed that the cooling fans seem to be operating at a much higher rev rate to the extent to which I can feel them through my steering wheel? is this normal or can they be re tuned to an Audi standard?
yeah i was just about to ask if you would still recommend Russell, as i would be looking for a new place to do service/repairs.
as RS I did the same when I got my eibachs fitted went to AMD as felt they do that sort of thing regularly.
I have had a similar problem with my air con, no cold air, brought the car to Audi hoping it was not a component fault i.e. compressor failure and it would be a simple re-gas of the system. Audi re-gassed the system and I was told everything was in order, as soon as I drove home there was no...
they are a bunch of cowboys they did my haldex service at 20K miles...and I am sure the service manual or at least recommended change stated by Audi themselves is at 40K, so very dubious about how dealers go about their work...plus the things that you ask them to look at and repair never get...
london unfotrunately - 480 sounds more reasonable than what Audi quoted me, they are cowboys they didn't even diagnose the problem to begin with, will definitely have to find another place to get this done.
