    2015 A4 Allroad timing belt cover ??

Hi, They'd quoted me £525..... including the water pump. However, there was a bit hassle completing the work, where they had to keep the car overnight, so in the end they charged me £414 for the inconvenience caused :sm4:

Thanks for that, but I've looked at a good few used engines on Ebay and it looks like they don't have a cover.

    2015 A4 Allroad timing belt cover ??

Hi, I've just had the timing belt changed on my 2015 A4 Allroad 190ps with a CNHA engine code, and I think it had a timing belt cover on when it went in, but doesn't have one on now ?? Checking the parts database it says it should have one...

Help Please 2014 A4 AVANT 2.0 TDI S-LINE TIMING BELT

Hi :sm4:, I asked the question a few weeks ago for my 2015 A4 Allroad. The Audi service book says 130,000 miles, but didn't say how many years ?? I contacted Audi, and they told me the book is correct at 130,000 miles or 5 years, which ever comes sooner. Most seem to agree on here, 5 years is a...

Water pump change with new timing belt ??

I've always took the advice of garages and changed water pumps at the same time as timing belts. I was just politely asking people's opinions on whether it might be a bit of a con to generate more income for the garage, or whether they do actually fail on relatively new cars with lowish miles :sm4:

Water pump change with new timing belt ??

Anyone had a water pump failure on a low mileage, 5 year old A4 ?? Thinking of the engineering and quality that goes into Audi cars, I just can't see a water pump failure being high on the list ?? I wonder if it's a trap we've all fallen into to generate more money for garages and Audi ?? :smirk:

Water pump change with new timing belt ??

I was only half listening when the garage mentioned the cost of a OEM water pump, as I was still picking myself up off the floor at the £525 for the full job :crying:. I think he said £115 for the water pump.

Water pump change with new timing belt ??

Hi :sm4:, What are your views on whether to replace the water pump when you get the timing belt done ?? My 2015 A4 Allroad only has 33k miles on the clock and has been well looked after. I've been quoted £525 for a timing belt and water pump change by a reputable indie garage who I trust with...

    Timing belt change interval ??

Just checked my service book for that and it says CNHA. It also says in additional service information........toothed belt change 130,000 miles ?? That seems a long time for a timing belt ??

    DIY How To section

I'm on a few different forums, and they all have "how to" sections as stickies at the top of the page, even in all the little sub sections. It's a great idea, I assume simple to do, and I'm sure some people on here would be happy to post pics and info on how to do stuff :sm4:

    Lifting car on grass/mud

If you've got some paving stones lying around how about stacking them gradually and drive the car up and onto them, that would be a much safer platform ?? That's what I do when I need to get under the car, but I use planks of wood :icon thumright:
