    very noisy, so thought we should drop the oil and replace it... about an egg cups worth of oil was left in it replaced the oil anyway, took 2-3 litres from memory (this was some months ago) and it was a little quieter it shifts perfectly, its noisiest on the over run

    I know this is a really old post, but what do you mean by cutting the vnt arm and welding backwards, why does this achive? I've got a 059145702s (BV50 I beleive?) KKK turbo, I've figured out the mounting, the exhaust from the manifolds to the collector the turbo sits on and also the oil drain...

    excellent, saves taking the vacuum unit off to try and loosen the lock nut i would suggest that it is a rebuilt turbo that wasnt set up properly as its covered in marking fluid on the lock nut for the stop screw and actuator rod its defiantly more responsive now

    85.2 % at idle, should that be less than that, 80%? in which case the stop screw should be wound in to open the vanes slightly at idle?

    right, i think it should be the other way, @4000 rpm it needs to be down near the 30% mark ive wound the rod in a bit more (shortened) and its now down to just over 30% @ 4000rpm its much more responsive low and mid range and still pulls cleanly all the way through to 4500rpm seems to pull...
