Yeah I would have thought a bung should be there, but I couldn't see anything floating around.
Water is literally ******* straight in through it. When I stripped it all and tested pouring water for ages straight down the tube (as I thought this was the leak) no leaks, all poured straight out...
A pillar trim and pulling the corner of the roof lining wasn't too bad.
After pouring some water in the sunroof, I could see that the pipe seemed ok. However a lot of water was coming in through this square hole (blue pipe just for aid of visualisation). Any ideas?
The saga continues. Never got round to solving it from February. I just put some duct tape over the sunroof seams and then took it off for the summer. Now however it's starting to rain again, so the troubles recommence.
I whipped the lower trims off the driverside that cover the fuse box...
I had an S4 V8. I did about 17 mpg.
Now have a BiTdi Allroad. Doing about 30 mpg now.
Ultimate performance is realistically pretty similar however delivered differently. The Bi is more of a magic carpet whereas the S4 was a kick in the back and it was never what I would call a 'relaxing...
Very nice.
I'm going to go in a similar direction with my AR. Grill done and about to get those AR rub strips blacked out. Not going to go full de-chrome.
Which rear spoiler is that? I bought one but it's going to require a lot of 'finessing' it seems marginally too narrow!
I seem to be collecting some water after heavy rain in my driverside footwell. It appears to be coming out of the bonnet catch, but I'm guessing it's coming in somewhere else and running out of that. Any ideas? I've had a poke around the door and sunroof seals and there is nothing obviously...
Yep exactly. However, further research suggests it might have been my bad.
Pre-face lift Allroad grills would appear to be completely different from the usual C7. Nowhere seems to do a straight swap for these.
Post-face lift Allroad grills appear to be pretty interchangeable for any C7...
Yeah I'll paint the silver lip. The chrome edge I'll possibly get wrapped. I'll see what I can botch in the meantime - getting the whole thing wrapped just because of 10mm section grates somewhat. In an ideal world, I'd probably go full de-chrome, but there is a ALOT of chrome to cover/change...
Before and after.
Actually had a bit of a nightmare. Ordered a grill from ebay, which allegedly was correct (pre-facelift) but it was about 10mm too tall. Couldn't be bothered attempting to return it as was from China, so got choppy and fibreglassy. Seems to have come out ok - just need...
Noticed one of my mirrors seemed a bit wobbly whilst driving a couple of days ago. Then saw this thread, so quickly took a proper look and more or less as soon as I poked it, it fell out!
The backing barely had any stick left to it at all. Bit of carpet 2 sided tape seemed to do the trick.
Brilliant, thanks. I'm pretty dremel proficient, so should be all good in that case.
Yeah, figured i'd at least have to get the right C7 grill pre/post facelift. Just wasn't sure if the Allroad grill shape and fitting was different from a normal C7. Which doesn't seem to be the case. I'll...
Hi Duck A4! I see you have an Allroad. I've just picked one up and want to RS the grill also.
Did you have to find a special grill for the Allroad, or will all all the C7 RS grills also fit the Allroad?
Cheers
