2.0 tdi - strange issues 60 seconds after start up!!!

I'm no expert, just learning as I go :-) You can check the consumption figure using VCDS. Do you have that?

2.0 tdi - strange issues 60 seconds after start up!!!

That's very interesting! Maybe the cambelt timing was tweaked on the exhaust cam to set the fuel consumption correctly, and when the injectors were changed these would be more efficient as brand new and so throwing it out a bit. In which case an adjustment to the exhaust cam could solve in...

2.0 tdi - strange issues 60 seconds after start up!!!

Hey Allyn78 If your issue occurred after the cambelt change it's likely that the cambelt needs slight adjustment. Most likely on the inlet cam I believe. Was the plate you used solid, i.e. no hole? Usually that should throw the engine light on?

2.0 tdi - strange issues 60 seconds after start up!!!

Thanks guys! Well, inlet manifold also removed and cleaned, again pretty tidy already. Ran a quick check for vacuum leaks and could not find any. I ran some injectors cleaner through the fuel and took readings from the injectors when engine warm a few days later, and getting decent readings...

2.0 TDI - Timing Belt Settings with VCDS - no TORSION values!!!

Hi guys Trying to see if I ave a timing issue. Here are my readings in VCDS: Fuel consumption looks good at 0.60l/h for the exhaust cam. HOWEVER - I DO NOT HAVE A TORSION VALUE IN MEASURING GROUP 004!!! As you can see, it normally appears at the end on Group 04 in the fourth box. But it...

2.0 tdi - strange issues 60 seconds after start up!!!

Actually yes, not that long ago. I've only owned it a couple of weeks. I've been researching exactly that actually as I found some posts with people with the same symtoms, and most people it occuredafter a cambelt change. It seems you can use vag com to take the timing reading on the PD...

2.0 tdi - strange issues 60 seconds after start up!!!

Hey mm707 Thanks for the input, much appreciated. I've seen the Avon tune come up in discussion on the forums with regards to the 2.0tdi smoking issue a couple of times, so must be something to it. However, let's say in theory the EGR delete and cam timing adjustment solves this issue, the...

2.0 tdi - strange issues 60 seconds after start up!!!

Hi guys! I'm having an issues with my 2.0 TDI. I've posted before, and working for a solution, so thanks for sticking by me if you read mypast post. But a very interesting development... Basically, I'm getting a rough idle and lots of smoke when COLD (100% fine when warmed up). Now, the...

Rear Suspension Drooping/Low on One Side - damper or spring?????

Hey guys! I have a B7 S4 and the rear suspension on one side has been gradually getting lower and lower. The wheel now sits a little under the wheel arch, and if you put any load in the boot it goes to the minimum height right up under the arch. Is this likely to be the spring, or damper, or...

Cat changed and now I have a clicking noise - help please!!!

Thanks Quattro GmbH 63! Yes, that's a good description of the noise I'm getting. To check for a small leak, I guess just a visual inspection looking for any signs of smoke?? There is no gasket between manifold and cat, and was pretty damned sure I did the three bolts evenly and torqued it to...

Cat changed and now I have a clicking noise - help please!!!

Hi guys Audi S4 B7... I recently removed the NS catalytic converter as the flexi-hose section snapped. So I removed it, sent it away to be repaired with a brand new stainless flexi-hose properly welded in etc. All back together. Pig of a job (my car is an Automatic!!!) but all done. However...

Torque settings needed: cat to manifold bolts, subframe bolts etc - help please!

Hi guys I've removed the catalytic converter from my 2006 S4 to have it repaired. Now repaird, time to refit. I've been using Elsewin for the guidance. But they don't show all of the torque settings for the bolts. Most notably: Catalytic converter to manifold bolts (three bolts that sit...

Climate Control Heater Blowing Cold on Drivers Side

Hi guys! Audi S4 2006 B7... Weather's cold here again now and so started to use the heater. Noted that it warms up as usual on the passenger side, but the air coming out on the drivers side is cold!! Changing the temp has zero effect on the drivers side - always cold. Any ideas what this...
