Shell have attendants at several locations that I use. I don't know whether it's a UK wide thing. There is usually only one attendant per filling station so if it's busy it's still mainly self-service.
On my way home today I filled up at Shell on the A3 Northbound at Liphook, Hampshire. The attendant started filling with the requested V-power petrol and then told me I had won "Lucky Pump Day". £30 of fuel vouchers. Bonus!
That phonebox can do wireless "Qi" charging. Some phones can do that out of the box. iPhones (as yet) need a special case to use it (Audi make such a case). The wireless key does not charge wirelessly. The key symbol you see is where to hold the key when the car cannot detect the wireless key...
