I got my 1999 1.8t agu in oct with 184k on it :huh:
an all was good for about a week then it all started
1. clutch went replaced along with flywheel
2. i thought on of my coil packs were gone which later turned out to be an ignition module
3. both track rods an ends had to be replaced
A dead ICM stops coilpack 3. Dodgy coilpack wiring would show other symptoms then steadily get worse over time.
If you can find a ICM off another 1.8t, try it, if it works you've solved the issue

if it was dodgy coilpack wiring what symtoms would i get?
its an agu 1.8t and ive chenged the air filter to an induction one is the ignition amp the thing on the side of the air box if so i unpluged it and my car wouldent start so pluged back in an left it near the induction filter?
ive only done one because when i unplugged it there was no change in sound but when i unplugged the other three it changed and ive swapped each one around but the problem stays in the same place i dont understand?
but ive got a big problem my car is sounding like a subaru an ive chenged the spark plugs (ngk bkur6et) and a single coil pack (bosh o.e from ecp) which i thought was the problem? but its not can some please shed some light on my situation?

(1)does any one know if eurocarparts, gfs or halfords sell ngk bkur7et?
(2)also can some one tell me what size coupling ill need to fit my air filter to the mass air flow meter?
(3)and what have pepole done with there ignition amp after fiting a induction kit or...
