Im using 9'' wide allround at ET 37 front (5mm spacer)and ET 34 rear (8mm spacer) with no rubbing at all and can still get full lock each way and my car is pretty low So using 9's if your non quattro on the rear will be fine

Spacer are sound for what ever you want to use the car for as long as you get longer bolts with the standard shaft length and width of the spacer added!! Im using 5mm spacer on the front ET37 and 8mm on the rear ET34 Think you also need hubcentric spacers if you go above 10mm
