Was this stopping the passenger door switch from working aswell? Thats really throwing me!

Hi Mate, If you take the rocker cover off, you will be able to inspect the cam. I am doing mine the now on a 1.9TDI so these pics might help you. You can see how they wear in the middle and how bad they become if it is the camshaft. You should change the camshaft, lifters and bearings if you do...

I dont mate, but I will try pick on up this week. This looks like the damage to the lifers through the camshaft wearing so might need to wait till I need to time it back up :( Completely ruined no 1 lifer... Not good to see..

I can get a brand new cam, lifters and upper/lower bearings for around £200. I will be able to fit it myself. It got a timing belt kit and water pump 10K ago, so I will most likely just fit a new belt. Will get the rocker cover off this weekend and see if its defo a worn cam before ordering the...
