No private plate. Still original. I have checked with the DVLA and they have confirmed that the car is classified as AUTO on their system not QUAT (Quattro).
Yeah they have always doubles or tripled our yearly multicar policy but this year they wouldn't budge so I took my business elsewhere...
My insurance has shafted me by doubling my premium this year. According to Admiral Audi A3 are on a "risk register" due to thefts/accidents. I really don't know if that's true but started looking around. Found a nice deal with another mainstream insurer but they keep calling my car a Quattro. I...
Really?? I looked at the prices of 3 stage polish. Well out of my price range :weary:.
There are little nicks and scratches. Passenger side could have been keyed. Not too deep but you can feel it with your nails. Just the normal thing on a 10 year old car.
So when I purchased the car it had damage on the rear bumper. After speaking to @Schizophonic I had a look at some work that he had done. Paint match was spot on so I went for the same guy, Marc @ TukCustoms.

And not to feel left out the B pillar trims were rusting after the vinyl...
So being worried about the gearbox I took the car back to get it checked out. Appears you are right. Car is expecting it to be a full standstill so I have to change my driving style. Supposedly I'm driving like I would a manual car. I don't really know what that means but slowing down much...
Hmm. Not good news. Will speak to the local Audi garage and see what they reccomend. Before your post I was just googling and it appeared to due the DSG not guessing correctly what I wanted to do next and by me accelerating mid braking, it was just "lag". Will definitely get it checked.
Thanks...
Just wondering if the DSG gearbox can be adjusted so that the clutch does not disengage the clutch when braking. When driving on a dual carriageway speeds and then slowing down for a round about the clutch disengages, so when I go from brake pedal to accelerator the revs pick up and then the car...
I just find it likes going up the gears too quickly. Love the sport mode though. Recently started using the paddle shift which has opened up a whole new experience.
Just under that video is another Audi A3 crash

Im going to try and keeps the external mods to a minimum. Revo cold air intake with a milltek resonated engine back exhaust (200 cell sports cat). The other option to to have a custom one made locally but I don't want the exhaust to be loud and irritating. Once thats done it will be remapped...
So picked up the Audi after work. Didn't actually have any issues adjusting to the DSG gearbox and driving style. So smooth to drive.
Already have a few mods in the pipeline. Just have to save up again.

Works absolutely fine. The cable is to charge the unit and supposedly last 2 weeks on a charge. Can be turned off and left in the glove box till required.
I haven't had a chance to check reviews fully but picked this whole set for £50 from a woman on Facebook.
Is this worth keeping? Anyone else have a similar system?
They all work, the front right was flashing so missed the number while it was alarming.

No my mechanic has vetted the car for me and I haven't handed over anything more than a small deposit. Seller has advised me to have the car independently checked before I pay on delivery/collection. My warranty hasn't even started yet. When I popped into see the car I could see all the genuine...
