Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

Hi folks, after buying good quality 100% Isopropyl alcohol from Germany (hard to get in France, why???) I set to work on the windscreen. After 3 very good wipes and rubbing I believe the problem is gone. Light drizzle this evening and had no wiper juddering. I never heard back from Gtechniq...

Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

Fine for Fine for side glass that is for sure. Another option would be for a shower cabinet to stop limescale build up.

Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

Well it worked fine on the side windows and strangely the rear wiper didn't have any issues. ..... I don't think that I'll be buying any more G1 as the hassle it has made for me was not worth it.

Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

The Gtechniq paint treatment has provided excellent results - how long it will last is still to see. The alloy wheel treatment appears to be effective but is still too newly applied to say how effective it will be. The G1 glass treatment on the other hand is really not fit for purpose...

Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

Just spent an hour with 90% denaturalised alcohol ( waiting on the 100% IPA to arrive) followed by hard rubbing using a waffle weave cloth and glass polish. Final result- imperceptible difference as the wipers still judder like hell. Cheers Gtechniq for the expensive product that causes these...

Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

Hoping the isopropyl alcohol will do the necessary. I've been told that it can be polished off. I don't have a professional polisher but I have a buffing rotary tool. I'll try some Autoglym glass cleaner- cream based in this and see if that does any good? Anybody have an idea? Sent from...

Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

I agree in that I wanted to have the beading effect that gets water blown off the screen. In slow traffic or under street lights you still need to operate the wipers. Having this judder is an unwanted issue that would have have stopped me applying the product if I had known about it...

Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

Just tried again tonight after having applied G1 to the cleaned blades. Result - the wiper judder is as bad as ever. Summary - do not and I repeat do not use Gtechniq G1 glass treatment. It is a disaster for wipers. Gtechniq support is useless. I'm going to ask for a refund. Hoping the...

Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

I have a bottle of 100% IPA coming. Impossible to get hold of on the shops in France. I had to order from Amazon. If my test fails then I'll do an IPA wipe off and see if that works. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

Damm. I just cleaned the screen again with G2 and then cleaned the blades before applying some G1 to the blades - all this as per Gtechniq advise when they were asked about wiper judder. So I guess I will suffer it and not buy any more Gtechniq glass products. I feel pretty let down by...

Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

Well today it is sunny and 14 deg so the wipers will be having a day off. When I get home on Thursday I have my plan. Gtechniq advised me to clean the windscreen with IPA and then apply some more G1 to the blades. Once dry I'll run a hose over the screen so I can test simulated rain types. If...

Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

I'm not sure how to remove it but will persist until the judder wears off- but agree with you that I won't be doing the windscreen again. The side windows are of course fine and strangely the rear wiper free of problems. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

Thanks for your input. GTechniq do suggest putting some of the product on the blades. I'm at a crossroad thinking if I add more of the same I might make things worse or the problem lasts longer. Of course I'm falling on the side of giving this a go. I still like the product and the result I...

Cleaning all this muck off car advice

I give a quick jet first with my HP washer - just to get loose, gritty stuff off. Then if you have a snow foam attachment go ahead and foam the car and leave for 15 minutes or so. Next another quick rinse with the HP washer. The car won't be clean yet but hopefully free of the nasty; gritty...

Wiper judder after GTechniq glass treatment

Hi folks, So my new car - less than 600miles. Wipers are new and there was no judder at all before treatment. Products purchased from Slim's detailing. I did the following. 1. With a very clean windscreen I polished the glass with G4 and new microfibre cloth and then removed the residue...

Preparation work on new car prior to applying Gtechniq

Thanks for that. What is the minimum recommended temperature. Of late it has been rather chilly. Car not yet at dealership but I've been told 'any day or another'.... I'm stuck at sea working so when I get home to collect it will be another matter. I'm off to the UK for Christmas and New...

Preparation work on new car prior to applying Gtechniq

Hello everybody, New car should be arriving soon and I have purchased the range of Gtechniq products from Slim's detailing. For the paintwork I have the 'serum light'. My question is how to prepare the car. The car will be delivered without any special add-ons just the normal showroom...
