Will do! going to try and get it sorted this Friday if the weather allows. I'm just having this car over the summer but I hope I can get them away and smooth with the rest of the panel, they stick out a lot on a sunny day especially if the car has a bit of dust on it. Next car im buying im...
The A5 series suffer from a lot of squeeks typically in the cabin. Are you sure its not coming from inside?
Normal squeeks are the plastic trim in and around the vents, mmi and speed/rev. Can stuff small cotton pieces there to even it out.
Also rear pillars squeek sometimes.
I use Soft99 Suffo Coat for dark cars. incredible product.
Water repellant is amazing on this one, never seen a wax this good and its mainly used for boats to start with. Washing the car is so much easier now as Everything pretty much comes off from just using the high pressure washer.
Would love some help regarding this. Washed my car and noticed a new scratch in the clear coat which wasn't there last week.. a cat perhaps? No clue but damn annoying. Also noticed someone probably the owner before that has tried to repair a paint chip and overused the paint and not buffed it...
I was quoted 600p to get my H&R springs fitted? I last paid 150p or so on my A3. Is it alot harder to fit on the a5 Quattro? Seems a bit steep to have springs fitted..
Yeah been thinking about removing the chrome but not so sure anymore, I will have to think about it, I will do the fog lights to start with! But the silver around the windows kinda makes it stand out. Will see in the future!
Cheers. link works for me no problem. Perfect easter vacation to spend in the garage.
You wont have a problem at all with the 20x10 on the A5. I run 10,5 with ET38 and its going to sit just right with the drop.
Wrap them in 275 I would say, 30 profile-
I run 20x10.5 on 275/30/20.
No problem at all with the A5. Et 38 on mine, will see if I have to use spacers once its on the 35mm springs.
285 works as well.
Hello.
Currently own a A5 I will use this summer but once autum arrives late august im looking to sell and to buy a summer car only as the salt here is just horrible, a volvo 740 will do that time around for me.
I'm looking at prices between Subaru Brz and Totyota GT86 and they are pretty...
I took the time this Saturday to detail the car as it was cloudy all day and perfect temperature.
Started 8 am and finished around 7pm.
Washed it as perfect as I could, wheel wells, under the car to remove any salt left.
Clay bar was used, first time for me and I loved it. Rust particles from...
I fixed it this weekend when I detailed the car.
Sanded down to the steel so the rust was removed, it was only a bit on the top and used a rust converter/primer and then painted it. figured it will last until I sell the car this autum.
Love Audi but too much Money to worry about paint...
I went for H&R springs. I'm probably selling the car after the summer as I want a petrol and an avant so I'll make sure to get the most out of the car during this summer season.
The wheels are 10.5x20 imaz im3 wrapped in 275/30/.. a bit too much stretch then I had hoped but oh well!
My...
It looked way worse then it was luckily.
Sanded down a bit, used rust remover/converter, primed it and then painted. looks as good as new now but now im installing a film and also filling that spot with some mass to dampen and protect the Wheel wells. ****** B8 Audis
Cheers, a bit more to do and im done for the summer!
Lip to be installed.
Full detail
Springs on this month as well
And also repairing some worrying stone chips in the Wheel well. luckily not rusted yet as I first feared.
Really thought I would be spared but I have now found rust in my rear wheel well on my a5 from 2011.
What to do now? Audi won't pay for a respray and before it spreads and I lose a lot of money do I sell or sand it down and paint for now?
God damnit.
