Guys,
Need some advice. I can't get my Audi A3 tdie -2008 gearbox to third gear. It was all ok up to yesterday. I was driving back and hear some breaking noise after that I struggled to put third gear. All other gears including reverse are working ok. This morning saw a gearbox fluid leak on...
Hi,
Is it safe to replace old battery (61 Ah, 540A CCA) with "E44 Varta Silver Car Battery" (577400078) (77 AH and 780 Cold Cranking Amps)?
The old battery in my A3 1.9Tdie 105bhp - 2008 is 240mm in length where as the new one is 278mm. I checked battery box, seems around 292mm.
Many Thanks,
Few months back Audi recommended coolant change. So coolant change on mine is due. That might be the cause? Booked for cam belt + water pump + coolant change next week.
Interesting to know, was not expecting all this from Audi. I never ever have had this issue on my car. Noticed it from last few days. Fan stays on even if the ignition is on and engine is off.
Yesterday when I pulled up my car (Audi A3 1.9tdi) onto my drive, I noticed the radiator fan was on, temp gauge in car was just below half way and it is less than 10 deg outside temp. I drove the car for 10minutes. Fan went off when I switched off the engine.
Any ideas?
My Audi A3 1.9tdie - 2008 has done 43k miles. Got a text from local Audi garage mentioning about Cambelt change. I think it is either 5years or 75,000 miles whichever comes first. My question is, do I need to get it changed ASAP like this month or can I hold it for next few months. Car has done...
My Audi A3 - 2008 is coming up for its second Long life service with 40,000 miles.

Similar sort of experience with mine (Audi A3 1.9 Tdi) @ 35k. There were vibrations on the clutch pedal and judder on idle. Took to Audi Dealers and it costed me around £1300 for new clutch kit + flywheel. Now got 2years of warranty on it. Judder has gone but there are still vibrations on the...
Mate got the car back with new flywheel and clutch kit... There is no car judder but there is still vibration on the clutch pedal as before.. I can still feel continuous knocking when resting foot on clutch pedal... Is it same at ur end?
Not happy with audi.. Few bits missing - plastic cover...
Audi quoted £1350 for (diagnostic cost + labour + flywheel + clutch kit), warranty direct only paying £900 ish toward the claim, saying we will not cover clutch kit as the damage to kit was done because of uninsured part.... Not very happy as 300 going from my pocket... Warranty direct not ready...
