that is also my concern but I’ve read good things about the longevity, I’m expecting to have to to reapply a few times considering the condition they were in previously but hopefully I can keep on top of it.
we had some serious rain yesterday in the north east, and it’s supposed to rain most of...
Nice! Self build or ‘proper’? This is our third self build.
It’s great stuff and the small 30ml bottle would have definitely done the van a few times if the bigger bottle is a bit overkill. I wish I’d gone for it now but hey ho I’ve got it at least.
this is the only ‘before’ picture I can...
Tried this stuff out on the Fiat Ducato we're currently converting to a camper van - not the cheapest stuff (£40 for 350ml) but really impressed with the results.
And the finished product (also gave it a polish):
Very smart! Love the A5 in grey, and the sportback is a great all round car.
my girlfriend has the pre-facelift sportback in Lava Grey, would have probably gone for the coupe but we have dogs and the boot is perfect for them.
@Moon I’m a huge fan of KKD’s citrus magic. It’s around £10 for 500ml and can be diluted up to 100:1, most things I’ve read suggest stronger but I’ve always done 100:1 as that’s the max it says on the side of the bottle (15ml in my 1.5l pump sprayer) and it’s always done a really good job. Very...
is a decent all round kit.
Koch chemie compounds are highly regarded, or something like Menzerna
Well I tried Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax at the weekend and initial impressions are really good!
I followed Jon from Forensic Detailing’s advice when applying the first layer, drying the car to the point where there was only a light layer of water and then used a damp microfibre applicator to...
My girlfriend has an A5 with the earlier 170bhp engine in, its a great engine with enough power for daily driving.
There is the option to remap which would see 205-215bhp but at the moment she’s more than happy with it standard. The option to jump past 200 makes it the one to go for in my opinion.
Got some Ceriglass and Rayon pads to try and get rid of some of the fine scratches from my windscreen, they're a nightmare in the rain at night... And some air freshener sprays among a few other essential supplies.
10% off at slims at the moment!
If you get a highly concentrated citrus pre-wash and a pump sprayer then it should go a bit further. I use KKD citrus magic which is diluted 100:1 in a pump sprayer. So 15ml fills my 1.5l pump sprayer and that generally does for 2 washes.
Carparts4less have a pump sprayer for £2.odd delivered...
At the moment it's dark when I leave the house on weekdays, dark when I get back, and raining at weekends. So the car is looking a little sorry for itself.
I have high hopes for a dry day on Sunday.
Hope you went over it with the DA first!
It’s all subjective really. It’s worth however much someone is willing to pay to bring the MMI system slightly more up to date, albeit not in the most refined way. But you’re never going to get mega refined when you’re simply piggybacking on an existing 10yr old system. Until some mainstream ICE...
Even if the paintwork does have swirls etc I'd still do everything I could to avoid more, snow foaming / pre-washing included.
I do have a snow foam lance however only really do this if the car is particulatly dirty, otherwise a good citrus pre-wash is perfect for what I need. KKD cirtus magic...
There’s quite a few companies I’ve seen recently offering similar “starter packages” etc (EZ Car care comes to mind) and seem to get fair reviews. I’d also be interested to hear anyone’s opinions who has tried them themselves
