so im guessing my existing modules are ‘maxi’ modules anyway already having folding mirrors fitted.
What a shame, guess i will just have to sell the modules to someone who is wanting to retro fit folding mirrors then :sob:
The modules ive ordered are from a seat exeo date stamped 2010/2011 and the part numbers are :-
OSF - 8E2959802E
NSF - 8E2959801E
i read that these modules allow folding on locking and are plug and play i could be wrong and end up with 2 modules as ornaments if it doesn’t work lol
Looking into this more this only operates the fog lights on the B7 where as the MK5 golf does both sides and headlights.
with mine having no fogs being a DTM is there a way to change this setting from fogs to sides/dipped ?
I already have the power folding mirrors installed with control knob installed from factory and i have ordered Maxi motor/modules as read that these allow folding on locking if taken from the seat exeo.
Ok so i have coded my car to have CHL and nothing happens lol i have then seen that you need the correct switch next to the light switch so as mine just has a DRL one fitted i have ordered one with CHL/DRL knobs.
Is anything else needed to have this function?
i unplugged the light switch and...
Can anyone confirm that if i fitted the ‘Maxi’ front door motor/modules 8e2959802e and 8e2959801e from a circa 2010 seat exeo to my 2006 DTM that i would then have folding mirrors on locking/unlocking without any other modifications needed for this to work as i have read this can be done as...
Very Interesting !!
how easy to modify the exhaust flange any pics at all ?
this is also gutting to hear as i scrapped a K03 comp/exhaust housing not so long back ....
i was thinking this recently if this method would be the same as the Frankenturbo F23-L and ebay copies ?
All in all just under 4 hours, parts needed are injector repair set x4, throttle and manifold seal. I used a shot blast gun and around 1.5kg of walnut grit (i got 3kg of ebay for £21 all in).
also a runner delete kit but i now have active/static fault for intake motor end stop so think i need...
It wont be laggy at all far from it actually, it will be alot faster spooling with the 064
you could maybe put a VR6 Maf housing on with saab red top injectors and 3bar FPR as this should make the car feel quicker with the boost just running at actuator pressure you could also increase the...
Dont skimp on the rods either Intergrated engineering rifle drilled or CP Carillo rods or speak to badger5 see what they recommend ive been away from the B5 stuff for sometime and more onto the B7 stuff these days.
The 2 connectors on the airbox are for the ICM (Ignition control module) if you...
You can’t just go and fit a VR6 MAF you need to also swap out the 4 bar FPR for the 3 bar one used in the golfs/A3’s etc and switch out the injectors for some saab red tops (380cc) ones. And then you will also need to run the motor with the N75 disconnected, but you probably wont see much...
ICM normal knocks cylinder 2 out
Delete the ICM and upgrade the coil packs and plugs to BKRE6E’s (change every 10k) or PFRQ6’s (for longlife 40k servicing) and change the MAF sensor.
If mapped the ignition systems probably on its last legs tbh
