Hi folks. My wing mirror glass needs replacing. It's expensive from Audi so I'm thinking of using this stick on one from Ebay. Wondering if anyone has used this with success on an S3 8L prefacelift?

Sorry, picked you wrong there. You reckon the S3 indicator is clear glass and the page you link to has an indicator with clear glass :) !
So the A3 has frosted glass and the S3 has clear glass\plastic. I wonder is that the only difference? The price of the S3 is double the price of the A3 -...
I see what you are saying. I'm not 100% convinced though.
That link you reference is most likely an after market part, which could explain it looking cheaper. That page lists the part as 8L5953050 which is the part number from the S3 (the A3 part number is 8L0953050). So mostly likely this...
Here is my indicator (cracked down the bottom!). I don't see any chrome bits on it and it looks like a normal A3 one to me?
I rang Audi parts dept. and they seem to have two different part numbers and two massively different prices!

Hmm...I never noticed any chrome bits on mine. Must look at my indicators again. Where are the chrome bits on the indicator?
Here's a prefacelift S3. I don't see any chrome bits on the indicator? Looks like a standard A3 one

OK, so it sounds like my friend has an extra hole in his turbo for the EGT?
His problem is the turbo from the APY engine does not have the hole for the EGT?
Is swapping the hotside from his old turbo to my turbo the only way of solving the problem here? Can you use the turbo without the EGT?
If I'm understanding you correctly you are saying that the turbo from a BAM engine will have an extra hole for EGT.
But what my friend is telling me is that my turbo from an APY engine has an extra hole that the turbo from his 2002 225 TT does not have. Which sounds to be the opposite of what...
I had a turbo from an APY S3 that I gave to a friend who has a 2002 TT (225bhp engine). Assumed it would fit, but he says that my turbo has an extra hole?
The part number of the APY S3 turbo is 53041015078 10.99
Thanks. I think I will go for the quick fix for now and try a longer screw.
When you say the nylon strip has started to unbond from the blade, I thought that the blade wasn't bonded to anything - it just slides onto the fixings?
As mine is only slightly off at one end. I'm thinking I will just do the following:
1) Take out the screw
2) Drill a hole into the door blade
3) Put in a longer screw
What you guys reckon? Is there enough in the end of the door blade to take a screw?
I'm wondering how I just take the blade off. Do I need to remove any screws?
It sounds like the four screws are holding the white plastic bit on. None of these screws go into the blade? So can I just pull the blade off?
So do I have the same problem as the thread I referenced? I just couldn't tell if their blade came away from the white plastic part or the screws stopped holding the white plastic part.
I tried unscrewing the two screws either end but my electric screwdriver was just wearing out the screw head...
Hi folks, my door blade has just come loose at one end and I'm wondering do I need to take it off to repair it?
I see this thread here has instructions on how to remove it http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/a3-s3-forum-8l-chassis/155898-attempting-door-blade-removal-later-today.html
But I'm not sure...
