Finally got the car back a month later, after replacing the water pump (which was leaking already) it was the heater matrix in the end that was blocked up and causing issues with the engine overheating.
I have an annoying issue with my a3 which is even confusing my Audi mechanic.
The car is on 130k and recently had the fly wheel and clutch replaced due to excessive vibration. Once this was done, I noticed that it he heaters where not outputting much heat and then on longer journeys...
Annoyingly a rock decided to pick a fight with my car on the M1 and won.
If anyone could recommend a decent body shop on NW London that would be great as it’s stripped the paint and dented the rear wheel arch.

Using one of these engine carbon clean companies could be a good shout. Had mine cleaned and felt a difference immediately, but speaking to the guy he said the it helps clean out the EGR value too. They essentially spray hydrogen into the engine for 30 mins to get rid of the carbon.
I did the same when mine developed a crack. Get the senors and wiring sorted before you get your screen changed and make sure you have the new mirror ready for when you get the screen installed. When you ring them tell them you already have the auto lights pack :)
What mileage would you recommend changing the gearbox oil? The car has not missed a beat, hope it stays that way but is reaching 90K and was thinking about having the items that are not normally / frequently changed serviced along with the service to keep it ticking over.

You may be able to get it to work if the aux is wired into the rnse but generally the AMI unit has a cable which allows the aux to function will try and get a pic later as I wanted the...
Anyone had a windscreen crack on the without any stone chip?
I had a new windscreen fitted back in December 2013 and just noticed last week that from the drivers side near the edge the screen has started to crack within 2 months.
I have checked for stone chips and there is no impact...
I have a 2010 A3 1.6 TDI Sport and looking to change the rear diffuser for the sline honeycomb edition for a single exhaust.
Just wanted to see if this is a simple swap or will I require a new bumper?
Please excuse that the car if flithy :)
Not sure what exactly you have removed but the easiest way I have found to change a bulb is jack the car up remove the wheel and undo the wheel arch liner (torx screws and plastic pannel clips and this has given me enough room to change the bulbs.
Yeah most likely to be a loose jubilee clip to the radiator or the radiator itself.
When was the cam belt water pump changed on the car as it could be the pump leaking, but you haven't noticed the temperature shoot up or the coolant level significantly drop?
