I paid £80 per cluster because I had to swap my red ones back into the other B7 I have. Nope mine wouldn’t show up in the red one. Tried turning it off and on again. Checked and triple checked in VCDS.
Yea that’s put mine to shame! When I swapped my rears the ones I put in had something brown, sweet and very very sticky on! I think it’s cough medicine. I tried getting as much as could out of the foam but it’s still seeped through and made everything brown
Picked up a full black headlining set last weekend so was keen to get that in. Unfortunately it had begun to sag so decided to dye my grey one as upholstery is not for me! Overall I’m very happy, completely changes the feel of the car. Forgot how I missed the black headlining from my old...
Recently had mine swapped from another B7 I have. Had Retrofit Southwest come and do the coding and SKC work and it took him a few hours as one of the clusters wouldn’t play nice. Probably not worth it to be honest but I do much prefer it over the red and now the sat nav shows up on the DIS too
Just gutted the back boxes and a panel filter, the torque is relentless now. I used to think my 220BUL was quick but this thing standard would have blown that away. Have to say not noticed much of an increase in mpg thus far
The physical swap is easy, I paid retrofit southwest to come and do the immobiliser coding and all of that part as it is more involved than VCDS capabilities. Not worth the money I paid to have it done more than likely. But I wanted them to complete the RNSE swap as the red DIS doesn’t show sat...
Brakes before remap would be my personal preference. The difference I have felt upgrading to S4 carriers and 345mm discs with Ferodo pads is unreal. Feels like my insides are going to burst through my chest when I stamp on the stop pedal now
I’ve seen springs go off before so I know what they can do but I know that the ones on a B7 aren’t under that much compression.
just slid them over the shocks and put the top mount back on
Haha. I managed to use a plastic saw blade guard and some long nose pliers in the end. Spent longer hunting for one ****** bolt than I did doing the entire passenger side
First half of the Eibach sport lines fitted. Wasn’t too bad of a job to do, I’ve got a seized track rod end to try and free off then get the tracking done. And spent an hour trying to retrieve one the top mount bolts which took a fancy to hiding below the brake servo
Thinking now before I do...
Got moaned at by the Mrs because the postman left a rather heavy box in front of the front door best start spraying those top punch bolts every day and start praying
I can imagine it’s very fiddly. Seats out is no big deal. Disconnect negative battery terminal and then it’s 4 spline bolts. Probably could do it easily just topping the seat back after unbolting it
This is a photo of the underside of the seat. The 4 red circles show the location of the screws for the storage bins. Yours may or may not have the speed clips in ready for the screws.
