Hi. My my mpg didn't change to much. And tbh isn't that great. My gf uses the car to go to work and back. Down small country lanes. My mpg is around 40mpg. Seems a little low but will test on a long run at the weekend.
Did you adjust the front cam at all?
Just to let you know I did the adjustment at the weekend. Found it pretty easy to do. Although I couldn't get the torque wrench on one of the 13mm exhaust bolts. Due to the brake resivour being in the way. So tightened with a ring spanner and marked with a marker pen and turned the engine...
Following this thread with interest. I have the same symptoms as you. My torsion value is at -2.9 though. Hopefully this is my prob. Looking to adjust the front cam next weekend. My fuel flicks from 0.4l/h to 0.2 thinking this is prob also a little low.
Hi im looking about getting an a4, after selling my a3 6 months ago im missing audi big time, can anyone recomend what they think the best engine is, was thinking a 1.9tdi.
Ok well thanks for the advise, i will see what the Garage think when i get it mot, looks like the work will be covered by the 2 year warranty that came with the car fingers crossed (blood out of a stone i will imagine)
Head off ahhh, just forked 500 on a new clutch. Somone told me you could the the seals from above but have to remove cams ect. Did yours drive fine with the split seals?
In for mot on tues so get them to do an oil flush change and filter, ive tested the pcv valve and it seems to be doing its job. what led you to believe yours was faulty?
Yeah the smoke is def more blue, almost sure its burnt oil. Always did it a very small amount but now is worse than ever, if leave to idle for more than a minute or so it emits a very large puff of blue smoke
Ok im in need of help here guys, I have a standard agu apart from a remap with 100000 miles on it. Its recently started to smoke when starting up/warming up and if i let it sit at idle for a short while the blip the throttle it spits out a huge puff of black/greyish smoke. Any advise would be...
I would say go for the 180 quattro, even get the s3 if you can afford, otherwise you will do what i did and buy just a standard 1.8t a3 and then spend the next couple of years finding out about all the extras the s3 has and your car doesnt lol. However i still love the audi.
Your lucky you have the option, i have a3 1.8t remaped, and 2nd and sometimes 3rd battle to keep front wheels in traction if gunning it. She eats the front tires, but what the hell 4 wheel drive is for girls :lmfao:
