I’ve got a 2.5tdi Quattro with 140k on the clock.
The clutch has always had a high bitting point but has never slipped.
Yesterday the clutch pedal went very stiff and it was difficult to select gears. The problem only happened once then everything seemed ok.
I’ve only driven the car...
My car has been driving perfectly with no crunches, noises, slipping or smells.
I can around a corner slowly in second gear and lost all drive.
When I lift the clutch pedal there is a slight grinding noise but no drive in any gear.
Is this a blown clutch? Ive had clutches go before and...
My friends s3 is cutting out at 5500rpm. This happens if driven hard or rolling upto those revs with very little throttle.
The power cuts out very virulently not like a normal rev limit.
I have scanned the car with full vagcom but there are no codes.
Does anyone have any suggestions...
I closed my boot today and cannot open it.
I can hear the solinoid moving but it's not very loud and now the boot will not open.
Is is there anything I can do to open it and to make sure it opens again?
my car has developed a wheel bearing type rumble from the front drivers side.
The noise seems worse at speed when turning right.
Ive vet had the wheel bearing changed but the noise is still there and everything has been checked but there is nothing obvious.
Could it it be a gearbox or...
ive fitted an after market radio and am having trouble with my radio reception.
Ive got a pc5-52 but the radio reception is not good at all.
There was a second aerial plug on the old radio but this is not being used at the moment.
Do I have to wrong adapotor?
I will double check the numbering on the blue plug but I'm sure it said that the pin I spliced was number 1.
Ive found a couple of post where people are have similar problems and it's the blue plug not pushed in fully or the green one has come loose while working under the dash.
Could it be...
not the best pics but you get the idea. You can see a 1 on the plug.
Im im sure it's pin one of the blue connector. There is a brown wire with a red tag in.
I disconnected the battery while removing the plug and when I restarted the car it's back in safe mode too!
It was the blue plug with purple clip on the left of the clocks, looking from the drivers seat.
Im sure it was marked as 1 on the plug and had a brown and red wire already in there.
I will double check but I'm sure it was pin 1
I've removed the earth but no change.
Now the safe mode is gone and the car runs fine but I still have the screen wash, coolant and fuel warnings.
Could i I have pulled the earths for the sensors out by misstake while messing around under the dash?
I have installed a dis wiper stalk to my b6 avant.
I fitted the the stalk and the washer bottle warning came on.
I then hen took the blue plug from the clocks and spliced an earth to pin on (brown and red I think).
now when I start the car it will only run for 2 seconds and says safe under...
