Sorry to be ignorant, but what kind of EGR issues was you experiencing that you felt the need to map/block it out? I have a 2014 A6 Avant Diesel. I used to have no end of problems with my DPF light and all that kind of rubbish. Most people claim that DPF issues (not regenerating, blockages) stem...
The guy I take mine to, injects UV liquid into it and then uses UV lamp to see where the leak is from. Mine has been the rad - twice. I've put a mesh grille in front of it now so it catches all the stones before they even get close to the rad. I bought the grille from B&Q and sprayed it with...
I had this a while ago and despite the replacement of the sensor at the front which is relatively easy to do, the issue turned out to be the actual AC radiator. Have a look at the radiator through the front grille and see if you can spot any darkened spots on it. That is signs of a leak. Usually...
Hello,
Just to give you guys an update to this and close the thread off. It turned out to be the master cylinder that was causing issues. It looked like the internals had gone. So no matter how much the clutch was pressed, it did nothing.
Once the MC was replaced nothing has happened again...
Hello All,
As stated in the title I am having some issues with my 2014 C7 A6. It's a 2.0 diesel with the manual box. The past week or so I have been finding it difficult to change gears. The issue is particularly bad from a cold start. When the engine is off, I can go through the gears as...
I don't know if this is related but I had the judder in my car from the flywheel. It would only occur when setting off in 1st gear. I didn't get it looked at soon enough and looking back now I think the flywheel destroyed the gearbox. It sounds rotational to me so it could be the clutch friction...
Loss of power like that means it went into limp mode. I would try to replace or clean contacts on the cheapest thing first. Clear the codes and go for a drive.
I know it's an older thread but can't you find an Audi specialist near you? You might save up to 50%. Plus they will also use the same genuine parts that the stealers use.
So I had a bit of time this afternoon and thought I'd investigate the issue. The door card came away surprisingly easy. Just 3 T25 bolts and several clips around the edges. The top part comes away last.
After removing the motor, this is what I found. Needless to say it seems like the regulator...
I'll get a genuine one to be honest. I don't want to have to strip the door every 4 weeks. I've just had the AC condenser replaced so this was the last thing I needed.
So as I was dropping the drivers door window down to get a ticket from a car parking machine, I hear a loud crunch and a thud coming from the car door. At first i thought I drove over something but then when I tried to put the window back up, it didn't go anywhere.
I tried to rock the switch a...
Hi guys,
I have a few questions regarding the interior reading lights on my A6. I currently have the basic lights installed.
I want to install one of these
I just want to know whether this will be a straight swap or will there be some extra work that needs to be done.
Thanks
