Hate to tell you but the exhaust soundtrack is all fake on the S5. It's just a rumble speaker. I thought it only contributed a little but I turned mine down to 50% and it is pretty much all the noise gone.
The only good thing is turning it down 50% made the car much much faster. When I have...
I fitted a catch can kit from ECS Tuning USA. Very expensive but it catches a fare amount of creamy black goop that would have probably stuck to the valves. This would need walnut blasted off at some point so it was cheaper than getting that done. Of course I've never seen the valves so...
Just to add after looking at the eBay ones, I'm not sure they are a complete rip off. Lots of time taken to ensure they are plug and play so to speak, all possible clearance holes and slots drilled, cable tie holes to secure the plug that needs moved. Actually looks like a very very nice job.
OK. It does come across as more of a sneer and that was not my intention, was just miffed at folk still being ripped off for these.
So one reason I didn't start making these is I just can't fully guarantee that the measurements I use off my S5 will be spot on for everybody else's car, and...
Canyon Run CR-15 strut brace(Replica for £20)
Made myself, and is undoubtedly stronger than the official one as I bent the not required tabs down and didn't need to cut 50% of the drivers side mounts out as we drive on the correct side of the road and the water bottle mount isn't in the way...
I went for red as I already knew they were good on the brake dust front and are still a cut above OEM. I thought yellow would be more that what I needed. I also really don't notice the whole cold bite thing.
After the first couple of roundabouts on my journey and I never push the car till it...
A keyless car only means they don't need to smash the glass and plug in a unit that disables the alarm and then starts the car. An automatic centre punch does the window in 3 seconds and isn't that loud. The time taken to steal the car is about the same for both methods.
Glass smashed, OBD...
I am genuinely really sorry for you.
But I'm guessing you did nothing to protect your car other than lock it.
For others on here who read this.
Get your OBD port secured! Get a steering wheel lock!
Do something, or lose your car.
I've had red stuff on 2 cars now and not noticed an initial bite point difference between the OEM and EBC.
The first time was a Mondeo ST about 10 or 11 years ago perhaps more, this was before they did yellow stuff and I was expecting to have slightly less bite untill they warmed up, I'm not...
Also less brake dust with the Redstuffs, if they do nothing else to help with my braking they do at least give off less brake dust. Compared to other pads I have used.
Mine were factory fitted but there is an ambient light menu that can be unlocked that gives you a volume like control to set them at your desired brightness...
would realy realy not recommend you reuse....
I would recommend you find out where those chips of metal ended up and how it got into that shape in the fist place.
If it's a 3.0 supercharged that figure isn't completely mad for just a stage one map.
I'm sure there should be a code that can be read to see if it has been mapped.
That does appear as if it is burning oil. I think @Tashfeen needed a top up after 5k miles. About half a service interval but he is stage 2 so increased heat means more oil burns.
I think yours is burning a bit too much oil but with out some figure from you it is just a hunch.
I've only...
I've always used 1 litre as a measure against the min and max reading on a dip stick or the MMI and it has served me well when doing a top up rather than pouring a tiny bit in at a time and checking the level. But I did say approx.
You might have a slow leak from the sump plug but what does...
