It’s frankly hilarious that you ‘winter tyre’ fanboys (or girls) get so over excited about those of us who choose not to use them, does it somehow offend you?
The unexpected can and does happen on warm dry days with summer tyres fitted, it’s irrelevant what tyres you have or what the conditions are.
Driving according to the conditions doesn’t just mean in the winter, it’s year round.

No mate, I’m living proof that in most parts of this country where at worst we might get a few inches of snow you don’t necessarily NEED winter tyres.
IF we had proper winters like some countries then winter tyres and/or snow chains are essential.
