Sound like bodgers to me, once a turbo has blown everything downline from it MUST be cleaned out ESPECIALLY intercooler ,pipes inlet etc, oil dripping after new turbo is a sign that
1 They did not run the car up to temp and check for leaks
2.They don't have a clue and shouldn't be in business...

fuel mileage is determined by torsion value, if you dont have this right you will lose economy or power or both, changing cambelts without checking TV before change is classic sign of torsion value being slightly out thus giving your problem.
So step 1 check torsion WITH VCDS and post results plz.
If you have pressure behind oil filler cap then pcv is ok , if its faulty the filler cap will be sucked down and hard to remove when the motors running!

Solids are ok in petrols but diesels are awful with them, ive fitted a few and my fathers tdi 130 id mapped to 160 with a solid and its not smooth to drive, plus the torque in a diesel destroys the box with a solid.
Dan, Don't grease the switches grease the mechanism.If you look up when the roof is closed there is a plastic panel on the inside of the roof which covers the locking mechanism remove the panel , about 8 or so posi drive screws , you will then see the mechanism in talking about.
