    Odd problem with door lock ,

    Hi just picking this up as I’m having similar issue with my drivers door latch. The part number for this is 8L2837016B. Out of interest did you find that the latch you got with the ‘A’ suffix still operates as it should with the key in the barrel and the central locking etc? Thanks

    I managed to slip the seal on over the base, quite a nice fit, but also put some sealant on the side of the body and the aerial, rain coming tomorrow so fingers crossed it does the job.     It does look good, I have got the option of a replacement aerial from the dealer too but what’s putting me off is how to fit it, how did you fit yours? There is one black cable running through the middle of the nut and into some more wiring further back I can’t reach through the interior light...

    I didn’t need to, I just loosened the nut and then slid the new seal over the top. I’ve found a better seal and will use some silicone on the contact point to seal it. The aerial they said was compatible was a whole new unit, would need wiring in I think!
