    This is about the size of it. If you want to be extra careful for the first 1,000 miles, fair enough - I was with my BMW as I plan to keep it long-term. But really, the only really bad things you can do to a new engine are run it at the same revs for ages (think cruise control on the motorway)...

    A3/S3 delivery lead time?

    Confirmed now that we're collecting our S3 on Friday evening. It's dragged on a little in the last few weeks, but it's actually been a fair bit quicker overall than first anticipated so can't complain really! Just checked and the order went in on 2nd Feb, so basically three months in total.

    Not acknowledging there's a problem

    The equivalent app on my BMW works really well, so there's no excuse. That said, I could easily live without it - just useful really to check fuel levels and send destinations to the car in advance. The other functions are rarely useful.

    Our car has now arrived at the pre-delivery inspection centre, so will be with the dealer for collection some time next week. Edging closer - my wife is now officially impatient!

    Not necessarily. I'm not an expert in this particular area of consumer rights -but where there is a breach of contract there's an onus on the provider of goods or services to make right on the contract or refund/cancel the contract. The appropriate outcome will obviously depend on the nature...
