    What does the HEX mean in HEX-USB+CAN?

    I'm researching diagnostic cables, and HEX-USB+CAN are three acronyms you find next to each other. I know USB is how the cable connects to your computer, and CAN is the controller area network bus standard to allow messages to be sent around the car. Anyone know what the HEX part means?

    Got a chance to wash it today and took a couple of pics. There's quite a few stonechips on the front near the lights, bonnet and windscreen but they're not visible from a distance. Got a 32MB SD card and filled it to the max with music. Really like the MMI system. Maybe I'll save up and...
