    1.8ftsi, 150k. Engine warning light came on a few weeks ago, simple scan showed runner flap issue. Had a look, common fault where the arm had snapped off inside the manifold. New manifold fitted, along with a new flap position sensor. Vcds basic settings completed no issues. Fault remains...

    How much are you using? Any more than a litre in 600miles and it usually points towards piston rings on these engines. Common fault usually from factory, and well documented. Nothing in those photos screams oil leak to me, minor at worst. Certainly not requiring a regular top up!
