    Sounds very much like coil packs, the old 1.8T was notorious for them failing and I can't imagine sitting for 4 years has helped.

    I fitted a non dimming, heated only glass last year and it's been fine. IIRC I contacted Stoke Audi and the cost of the OEM glass was some insane price like £295 + VAT
