    so, turns out it wasn't PAG oil but coolant or rather the antifreeze in the coolant after the water had evaporated off at high temperature and pressure coming out of a very small crack in the radiator. Both PAG and antifreeze are glycols and have an oily feel to them hence the confusion.

    If the water doesn't bead then it's not going to be engine oil, unless most has been absorbed into the driveway. Brake fluid can absorb water so that could be a possibility, maybe a damaged line.
