    I bought a one year old S3 with a bank loan. The spec pushed the list price up to about £36k and I made a substantial saving when I bought it. With a loan at 3 points, the sums worked out for me but there are always variables to consider that will be personal to you.

    I can't see much else in the range tempting me apart from maybe an S5 but I hear they are somewhat uninspiring to drive. Lots of choice out there but if M4s keep depreciating the way they are right now, I might have to scratch the M car itch.

    What have you done to your 8V today?

    Did you let them do your wheel alignment too? I got 4 new tyres fitted by them two weeks ago and a wheel alignment too. They made a right balls of it having had two attempts at it. Ended up back to Audi to get it sorted.

    I like your ambition fella and it would be lovely to fly about in an S3 at your age but have to echo the sentiments of some other guys on here. As a 35 year old I'd say blow the money on having as much fun as you can. 18 old years on and me and my mates still look back to lads holidays- drinking...
