    Thank you for your input. I found the issue after a lot of searching, I didn't realise there is another 'fuse box' with the power steering fuse in and that had blown! Everything's working perfectly now. Only problem would be that I somehow managed to lock the keys in the car just after I'd fixed...

    No it does not. The car is dangerous to drive with no power steering however I took it on a short drive and no change.

    Hi, the other day my A3's power steering went off and the ESP and red steering wheel lights came on. After checking the fault codes it came up as 01426 Steering control module and 00778 Steering angle sensor. My car is a facelift so doesn't have the steering angle sensor so not sure why...
