    New (reconditioned) turbo has solved the issue and the cars response is now a lot sharper and no EPC light.

    I had the same issue as you - fine when on the move on flat ground, potentially for many miles, stop start traffic and hills the power would drop then the EPC light would come on and raise error 14846. Phoned audi for a turbo price just out of curiosity - £4407 :puke2:

    57k - which you would think is buttons for a car like this and way too soon for a turbo to be shot.

    14846 error unrelated to the battery and was caused by worn linkages on the turbo- so a new turbo... I pick the car up later and will be £1700 lighter. If the car so much as looks at me funny after this its getting part exchanged for a Kia.

    No update yet - no time or money to sort - A4 goes in to the garage tomorrow for a service and a check on the code. Will update asap.
