    So, had Brian from Alter Ego Valeting come out today to detail my RS and apply a Gtechniq ceramic coating. Would highly recommend his services and the coating he applied, it made a massive difference!!

    So, traded in my Daytona grey RS3 today and took this beast home instead! At last the RS emblem has returned to the front grill, you now get thumb wheels on the steering wheel again and the power tailgate is back along with a sensor under the rear bumber to open it, result!!

    Same here, dealer rang me in mid January to say he could get me into a new RS3 for pretty much the same as im paying now even though ive only just has this one for a year. Picking it up on Monday :tearsofjoy:

    Well 2 months in and i cant fault the car. Without doubt its the best car ive owned and sound of that engine makes the price tag a bit easier to swallow! If anyone is still thinking about getting one i'd definatley recomend the Autoglym ceramic coating!

    Yeah, it was a factory order and at the time i presumed it would have the power tail gate as it was the Vorsprung so i didnt ask, but i was wrong. Would have been nice to have it again but its not a problem.

    Rang the dealer today to get an update on my RS3 Vorsprung as was originally told may for delivery, its in this country at the port! Car was ordered 11th December, lot better than the 13 months we had to wait for the S3 Vorsprung we have at present!

    Anyone know when that became a payable extra? I ordered a Vorsprung on 27th November but the spec sheet for the car doesnt say wheather it has it or not? I thought the reason for the Vorsprung model was that it had every option going?

    I had an 18 plate S3 black edition before my Vorsprung. You're spot on about about the Vorsprung spec, its great to get a car with all the options ticked!

    Yeah, there was no option to change it either when i ordered my Vorsprung. Preferred the flat bottom wheel on my old S3 black edition!

    when i got notification that my car was in transit from factory to the port it was just over five weeks until i collected it

    No, it was status 30 and showing in transit from factory to Emden on 26th Jan, i rang the dealer on 14thFeb and it was status 38 in port of exit released, arrived in Grimsby 23th feb. I kept checking the port arrivals and it was almost every other day a ship from Emden was due in, so hopefully...
