    Quick update - I got the AC control panel, went to Midlands VW where Chris has sent the scan to the AutoLogic for CP removal but they came back saying that they cannot do it for this setup :( Now I am trying to get one of Audi dealers to remove CP for me but so far they say that they are not...

    I'm surprised that Audi does CP at all. When I rang Stafford Audi about a year ago, they say they won't do it. Thanks for help bud. I will try to get hold of the guy that sells those AC control panels to see if I can pick one up this week and then once the CP is removed, I'll try my luck with VCDS

    Hahaha! Yeah, I saw those panels going for not much money. I think last time I asked for a price of CP removal, it was something like 40 quid, plus it needs coding as you mentioned and I doubt I would know how to do it correctly

    Has anyone got ETKA to check if 8K2 820 043 AC or 8K2 820 043 AH would be compatible ? It has a piano black panel which makes me think, it comes from the facelift model but I am probably wrong. Cheers

    Slackworth, I have been reading tons of info now and found out the same results, for 3g+ even the park assist module has to be replaced. And as you say, it's an involving job to upgrade A/C panel so I will probably leave it or get someone who knows their stuff to do it.

    I am not 100% sure to be honest, I'll post a thread on ross-tech forum and will pop to someone who knows much more than me. If it turns out that I have to replace both, A/C controls and Parking Module, I guess, it's either some more upgrades or just getting used to what's currently there.

    AMI sorted, turns out that cable has not been properly locked in the connector housing. Coded Gateway to the spec of the car, Aircon and park assist still not figured out
