    Had the same problem with my 2 litre 170. Got dpf removed and a stage 1 remap and have never been in limp mode again

    Do you think the fog lights as drl's would work on a b7 a4 and do you need the auto lights kit to get it working or will it work with standard headlights?

    It's fairly easy all you have to do is take the old unit out plug the new unit in but... Remember to swap the k-line wire in the back of the unit to pin b5 and Bose pin (brown wire) to pin b7 There should be a diagram on the back of the rns-e and a quick google search will bring up a thread...

    Did you rns e come with the car? I had a similar problem when i bought rns e vagcom would not recognise it but then I swapped the Bose and K Line pins at the back of the unit and now vagcom picks it up easily.
