    Audi A7 entertainment sound issue

We've had exactly the same issue with the same era A6 (2015 facelift) Do you have the Bose system or standard? If standard, in our case, it was the amplifier but as it was the standard, it was the MMI headunit itself that had the issue. What we did ironically was buy a second-hand one from an...

Been waiting years to get a A7.

Congrats on the purchase - I had the facelift version to yours for a number of years - probably still my favourite car to date! With the errors, are these new errors or old? One thing I usually do is clear them all - blank slate and then scan again. Sometimes when work is done to the cars...

    MMI3G No Sound

Interesting - I sold my 2015 A6 to a friend of mine a number of years ago however he too had maybe a similar issue. In his case, the rear door speaker was crackly and eventually all sound stopped. But he had other odd but related issues: 1. In some cases, the sound would just start working...

    SQ5 Dashcam Fitting to SQ5 Sportback - Any Installers South London/Surrey ?

When I had the SQ5, I had a Thinkware U1000 front and rear camera along with the ivolt battery pack - worked perfectly in the car and looked nice and oem. Most of my cars I've fitted it myself but I had the SQ5 and now e-tron both done by retrofitters - one based London side (Vagcoding / Alex)...

    Q3 Virtual Cockpit Scratched

I don't know enough about the VC Materials but in my time of laptop repairs, I see this a lot in the older Mac screens and if it is the same thing, what you've done is essentially gone through the top coating - And usually when we ask about it it is where people have used abrasive liquids like...

    Q7 Strange 2013 spec

You should have a spec sticker usually located in the boot floor near the spare tyre or possibly in your service manual stuck on in the inside page - worth pasting that here to find an exact spec of that car. However I don't think it is a strange spec. The SE was the base spec and looking...

A7 Total Freak Out ! Help

If I remember correctly, you can check the battery too: MODULE 19 (CAN-GETAWAY) Measure Blocks>Select GROUPS 18,19 AND 20 I'm sure there is a SOC value too but its been a while since I've had a VCDS or even a non-EV car!

A7 Total Freak Out ! Help

Lets get a scan uploaded and go from there. I have seen when these cars light up like a Christmas tree, its ended up being the battery at fault

    Weird Headlight Issue

how to disable navigation display in instrument cluster of a 2020 Audi A7

No probs! I forget how much of a minefield it can be to new owners - I've been driving Audis since 2008 and changing quite frequently everytime Audi give me a loan car better than my own so you get to know the systems well. Used to have a 2015 FL A7 which is the one your model essentially...

how to disable navigation display in instrument cluster of a 2020 Audi A7

Why not just change displays ? the left/right arrows on the left of your steering wheel will cycle through the various views - one of this is navigation. From memory, you have the trip computer, phone, radio, navigation. On another note, I think the navigation in the cluster is brilliant

Advice on leaving engine running or connecting a battery charger for software updates

Sorry for the late reply - this is how I did it ... not saying its the right way but my audi contact at the time essentially confirmed thats what they do in the workshop I remember I had a dud battery then too so I was bricking it but it went through fine. I take no responsibility if it goes...

Advice on leaving engine running or connecting a battery charger for software updates

From memory when I did my A7 at the time, I used the battery terminals under the bonnet - I suspect yours will have them there too given not much changed in terms of the battery being under the boot floor. I don't remember it taking so long for maps but it has been a while since I used that...

S7 MyAudi app does not work

How long have you been trying for? MyAudi is extremely flaky at the best of times! I'm in the UK and in most cases it will run fine for weeks and then be down with various errors for a day or two and then go back to working

    First A7 any advice

Welcome! Great choice - I didn't have any experience with the Pre-factlift A7 but did with the factlift (2015) and to date is still one of my only missed cars I've had! Symptoms you've had are classic battery so you should be ok now given alternator is tested ok - I suppose you could dig deeper...

Q7 Advice for my wife thinking of moving from Porsche to Audi-Q5/Q7

I too would say SQ5! I got into an SQ5 2018 TFSI - one of the last lot before they moved them to Diesel and it was a fantastic car. Spec-wise being SQ5, it is already by default fairly high so it had front / rear parking + cameras, auto, auto lights/wipers, from memory bose sound but might...

    Q7 Q7 heavy steering

Sorry can't help as I have neither a Q7 or had this issue but as it is under warranty ...use it :) Maybe another option would be to test drive another Q7 and see if this works better? I did see similar issues on one of the forums (maybe this) where at worst case, it was the steering rack...

Q5 2018 Headlight Washer Cutouts But No Activation

What type of lights do you have? As far as I know, unless it's standard halogen yellow type lighting, the washers would be a requirement. Easiest thing would be is pop them out. I used one of those suction cups you get ...like the phone holder ones for the windscreen but smaller. Be strange...
