    I think I'm getting about 22mpg round town and about 28 on a run. A full tank of V Power will get me between 285 and 315 miles, it's not great but fortunatley I dont do many miles and a tank lasts me about 3 weeks.

    Engine fault codes from the scan are: 17608- Mechanical malfunction 17544- Fuel trim bank 1 (add) system too lean Would these cause the fluttering noise? Its an S3 2001 facelift if that helps.

    Evening all, When listening to the radio on AM the reception is pretty poor and starts makking a popping noise when I indicate or turn the lights on etc. Its the Bose concert stereo in a 2001 S3. Thanks for any help.

    Paul, if it was the release bearing or the slave would it do it constantly or intermitantley?. It only does it every now and again. It makes a squell noise like when you squeeze the air out the end of a baloon.

    Electric Window Problem

    I've got the same problem on my passenger side, won't work at all. The motor makes a slight noise when you press the switch but no movement. I've had the door card off and checked the clips which are fine, I'm presuming the motor has gone. Has anyone changed one before?
